Harvey Yamamoto's Online Review Report Card

Recently took my 10 yr old son for he's annual eye exam as a new patient to this office. Staff was friendly and professional. Dr took his time and even showed my son pictures of the "inside" of his eye (which my son thought was cool) Will definitely come back. Great experience!

I've been coming here since I was a little girl and I'll continue to do so! I came in here today and Frank was such an AMAZING help. He was so patient with me while I was trying on glasses. He made me feel super comfortable, he took the time to bring me all of the glasses he thought I would love and we had amazing conversations! Thank you so much Frank. He also helped me out two years ago and he hasn't changed. He deserves a raise!!

THIS PLACE IS THE SCAM OF THE CENTURY. Woman in the front charged me $350 for an eye exam I NEVER agreed to. I scheduled for a free consultation. She failed to tell me that I must not wear my contacts 24 hrs prior to the "free consultation." So she rescheduled my appointment and apparently made her own decision to book me for an EXAM this time, DID NOT tell me. Imagine my surprise when I walked out to a bill of $350 when I haven't even decided if I wanted to buy the custom contact lenses or what it was even about. I was forced to pay up. THIS PLACE HAS HORRENDOUS BUSINESS ETHICS. I should've known when they have cameras and threatening signs posted all around everywhere. Unprofessional and says a lot about their reputation. SMFH. ‍

Dr. Yamamoto is great and so is the young man in the office. Unfortunately the woman who works in the front desk is horrible. She's very unprofessional. I called and explained that I waited two weeks for them to call me back after leaving multiple messages and never received a response. Instead of apologizing she told me they don't even check their messages. She also told me she couldn't give me my prescription over the phone or email it to me because their scanner is broken and they aren't going to fix it. I asked her to mail it to me and weeks later I still never received it. When I told her that I was disappointed in her response and lack of professionalism she told me "I've been here for years I don't know what to tell you." Sad to see such horrible service especially when the doctor and young man working there are so good at their job. Wish they would replace her.

Amazing! From start to finish this place is amazing!! Frank in the front office went above and beyond for me and my daughter! I recommend this to everyone!!

We had to take our daughter for her yearly test and new glasses. This was our first visit to the office. It does look small from the outside, but when you are let in....this place is huge! The staff is friendly and approachable. I got to sit in with my daughter while she got her eyes tested by Dr. Yamamoto. He is the BEST optometrist I have come across. We were an Army family and have moved a lot, so we have had experiences with many optometrists in different states. This man knows what he is doing! He has the technology to actually SHOW ME what other optometrists have only described as "a blurriness" in the back of my daughter's eyes. He took the time to explain things to us, instead of just rushing us out. I am very thankful we came across Dr. Yamamoto. We live in Apple Valley, but he is definitely worth making him our family optometrist!

Best experienced optometrist Ive met! I personally like the fact that he is blunt. I wish all my doctors where this honest.

After going here for years, the front office staff is incompetent. After calling in a week prior to check if they take the insurance, then showing up there and they say they don't. Then call back and they have to recheck to see if the insurance is active. Once they determine that it is active and then they do decide to see me, they say the deductive is to much for me to pay and want me to pay cash for the visit. REALLY?? My whole day would have not been wasted if the front office staff would have answered my questions the week prior correctly. Even though they have good clinicians, I will never be returning here because of the unprofessional front office. Please get people with some sense and caring for your business.

Dr. Yamamoto's office looks small from the outside, but what holds within is something great! Hes been an optometrist for more than 50 years and he really knows his stuff. He saved my vision and I am forever grateful! Best eye doctor in town
