Pediatrician ordered our son a chest X-ray due to covid cough with chest pain. Dr. Mayur Kashi at the Good Samaritan Hospital ER sent us away without an X-ray and said to us ‘your son looks like a young, strong and healthy boy and in my professional opinion he does not need an X-ray’. I was nervous to leave without the X-ray so I called our pediatrician to tell him about what Dr. Mayur Kashi said to us. Our amazing pediatrician saw our son and found a heart problem!! Our son will have heart surgery soon. I feel like Dr. Mayur Kashi should have examined our son more thoroughly and listened more carefully instead of sending us away. We didn’t even go into an exam room, he took maybe 3 minutes outside with us in front of everyone to hear our conversation! Dr. Mayur Kashi charged our insurance 4,599.00 and an additional 754.00 It is sad and concerning that a newly licensed doctor would be so careless.
