Went in for treatment for chronic elbow pain for which my child had been under orthopedic care for 2 years and was getting physical therapy. (Had to switch doctors due to insurance change) Dr. acted like extreme elbow pain, with numbness in fingers (new problem), was a normal part of playing softball and was dismissive of her pain or the increasing severity. No diagnosis and no treatment other than a referral to physical therapy and a useless brace. He refused an MRI because he said it would be abnormal. Also, he told us that no follow up with him was necessary.
My son is very bless to find Dr. John to do the surgery for him. My son went to see Dr. John for second opinion and he save my son to do a big surgery instead. Yes, it was a little wait for everything, but it is totally worth it. I have a very good experience with Dr. John and i highly recommend.
It was an horrible experience the first time I went. Was not a bad experience the seconds time. You got to give this doctor a little bit more of a chance.

Not that bad during the second visit a little less harsh but a bit careless.
Did my sons knee surgery. I’d rate him as very competent and friendly. A man of few words that is straight to the point and very succinct. Grated my boy with compassion.

This review is long overdue, but I think about Dr. Schlechter often and how grateful we are to him. Last year, our 6 year daughter suffered an open fracture of her right radius and ulna (both bones were sticking out), from falling off the jungle gym. My husband and I were so worried hardware was likely necessary to hold the 2 bones together, which could potentially affect her growth plates. He performed emergency surgery on her; when he later presented the results of the surgery to us, he was beaming and expressed genuine genuine joy that he was able to reduce both bones without placing any hardware. We followed his strict instructions to keep our daughter inactive over the next 12 weeks, and her arm healed perfectly, with no infection (she was at relatively high risk)! He did an amazing job aligning the bones, and aside from the fading skin scar, no one would've ever guessed she broke her arm! We are so grateful for Dr. Schlechter's compassion for his patients, and his excellent surgical skills.
I'm grateful to Dr. Schlecter for the emergency surgery he did on my teenage son's elbow. It was a complicated surgery involving putting pieces of the radial head bone back together with a metal plate and pins. It's healed really well. He is very honest and kind, my son seemed to like him very much.
Dr. Schlechter has looked after both of my sons for years. Excellent Sports Dr.

Tried to make an appointment for my son. The receptionist, after spending 10 minutes verifying my insurance information, still seemed overly obsessed with ensuring payment. And wouldn't tell me when the next available appointment would be. Well, maybe a doctor so obsessed with getting paid is not a doctor is use.

He is great! We have already referred 2 of our friends!
Dr. Schlechter is one of the best, if not the best doctor I ever had. I recently underwent surgery with him and I know him and his staff did the best possible job and I am really excited to return to play my sport. He is knowledgable and you cant go wrong with someone like him.
