I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Stephanie Lao , she is so gentle and provides the best service for gynecology I have ever experienced I recently got my tubes cut off because I no longer want to kids and she took care of me. She makes you feel like you’re at home. And that’s really important when you click with the doctor because it makes you want to come back for your services. Overall, I really recommend her.

Some of the best doctors in orange county. I was bed ridden through my pregnancy. They made sure everything went perfectly. I had at home nurses and constant contact with my doctor's. Delivery went extremely well. I was up on my feet feeling normal within about a month. I have a perfectly healthy 6month old boy who owes this amazing supportive team his life. Thank you for the kindness and of course for dealing with all of my health issues. I could not have done this without them being so amazing.I saw both Dr Stephanie Loa and Dr Akkerman. They were kind and understanding. Dr. Akkerman was able to makes a scary delivery seem like clockwork and a piece of cake. Id trust them with my life and my son's anytime.

Dr Akerman and his office team have made each of our pregnancies a great experience. My wife and I feel very lucky to have selected him three times to help us through the journey of adding a child to our family. His bedside manner is excellent and he is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. When you ask him a question, he just puts you at ease with his expertise and previous experience in the field. Warning with Doc, he is really funny and will make you laugh, so be prepared. Lastly, after each delivery he will always tell us, "see you guys next year for the another baby" and he continues to be right. If you are looking for a caring, genuine and skilled communicator to be your OB/GYN, this is the provider you are looking for.

I went to Dr Ackermans office because I was told I could see Dr Stephanie Lao and that she delivered at Irvine . Come to find out most doctors there don't deliver there as it is still a newer facility. Overall i was pleased with the office staff and the way they handled my care .They do rotate the physicans there so you dont always have the doctor of choice . That is how I met Vicki my wonderful midwife who delivered my beautiful baby girl ! I cannot thank her enough for the care she gave me throughout my pregnancy and of course the labor and delivery. She was great with helping me try and deliver a natural birrh and using great techniques .She was very informative and patient and follows up afterwards for weeks .I believe I saw Dr Ackermann the following day after my delivery and he seemed pretty grumpy as he was upset about something that happened that night during his shift . Dr Stephanie and Debbie were amazing as well .I felt that they cared and answered all my questions as being a first time mom. I would come back again should I choose to have another baby . The reception team was nice and helpful I would say that they do need to acknowledge people more during check in and check out. Wait times are long and their heads are face down until they are ready to help you. Wait time on the phone is long and difficult to get throug

Dr Akerman is beyond experienced and also a very nice and caring doctor. I’ve been blessed to be his patient since I moved to California 7 years ago!

Dr. Akerman has been my go to doctor since my early 20s. He delivered both my babies at St. Joseph's (2015 and 2018) and will continue to be my doctor for as long as he is working! The office staff is friendly and typically very easy to get a hold of. I've also seen Debbie and she is super sweet and easy to feel comfortable around.

I went here because my mom recommended Dr Ackerman. I only saw him when I was already much later in my pregnancy. Every time I went for my appt, I got a different provider. The wait time is terrible. This was my first pregnancy. I needed a little more TLC. And they never remember who you are. The only thing worth mention is the Midwife, Vikki. I would put up with all the cons because of her. She is gentle and very knowledgeable. I got a lot out of her in the two times that I saw her than The whole time I was there.

Dr. Akerman was amazing showed so much care for my health and babies health. Felt so much at easy dealing with him. He is very professional and the staff in his clinic as well.

I went to this practice after reading the positive reviews. Unfortunately, doctor did not meet my expectations. I couldn’t tell if he was tired, feeling lazy or just acted dumb knowing nothing. He did not answer most of my questions even the most simple questions. He seemed friendly and nice but that’s not all. He rushed and did not seem compassionate and concerned about his patient’s condition.asked him something and he pretended like he is not supposed to know the answer. Like are you not a doctor yet? What’s the point of being friendly if you are not good at your job.

I absolutely love Dr. Ackerman, unfortunately he is such a good Doctor you cant get a visit with him. I am usually not the type to leave reviews but when you are in pain and need to see the Dr that is familiar with your on going issue and you have to deal with staff that is not very compassionate it makes it even worse. Dr. Ackerman your front staff is awful! The genuinely need to be checked on what true customer service is and maybe a little bit more about compassion. I'm sorry but you all chose your position, if your miserable maybe you should change direction because you shouldn't be making your patients feel helpless in a time of need!!!! Bed side manners these days are seriously non existent. I'm extremely disappointed.
