Both the nurses and doctors, everybody that I’ve come in contact with treated me like family. They were so kind and so concerned, and even Dr. Spector called and took care of things after hours for me. You can feel the dedication and pride they take and it gives me confidence and truly changes everything. I have stage four Triple negative breast cancer so the way they treat me it’s so special. When I received a breast cancer diagnosis the scariest part initially for me was hearing that being her2+ meant that I would need chemo and targeted therapy prior to surgery. I was very scared when I went in for my first visit with Dr. Otis. She was so patient, kind, knowledgeable and an amazing teacher and spent time helping me understand the type of cancer I had, the challenges and the positives (the type I have is much more treatable than in the past) about that type. She was honest and encouraging. She listened to me talk about my fears and my faith and being able to process what I was learning and ask questions made all the difference! She never makes me feel like my questions are dumb and I can tell her decisions about my care are made with much thought and purpose. I can’t imagine this journey without her. Her entire staff is compassionate and get to know each patient by name and remember what is important to you (even which infusion chair you prefer). My chemo nurses Jessica and YaYa always make me feel safe and my PA Hannah is thorough, kind and looks into any concerns about side effects I have. The chemo teach was so thorough… I was set up so well and the staff always makes me feel like they are glad I called or used the message app and encourage the questions. I have not even once felt I was bothering them when I call! The Drs, nurses, assistants, pharmacy, and office staff in this office respect their patients and love them well. Cancer is a hard diagnosis and some of the treatments are tough and it will make all the difference to have Drs and a team like this that are whole heartedly invested in your treatment and your quality of life!
