Dr Albers was highly recommended by family members and other doctors. I’m so grateful. Dr Albers is bright, thorough, kind, and attentive. He answers all of your questions. His staff is amazing- super helpful and supportive. My procedures went well. I’m so grateful Dr. Albers is my doctor.
Dr. Albers is my gastro doctor since 2016. He is patient, compassionate, knowledgeable and leaves no stone left unturned. His patients are blessed to have them as their doctor! He is responsive to questions and also provides articles and links for the patient to learn about the medical issue at hand. He explores all possibilities and provides the patient with options whenever possible. He creates a feeling of comfort and trust in his interactions with his patients. I am grateful and blessed to have Dr. Albers as my doctor.
I was very impressed with this amazing doctor. He greeted me warmly and made me feel comfortable immediately. I had many questions which he answered thoroughly and I never felt rushed. His knowledge base is unbelievable and he not only gives you your answers but also provides data to back things up. I am so grateful to have found this wonderful doctor and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants an intelligent and very caring doctor who definitely loves what he does!
My cousins told me that Dr Albers is an amazing doctors. Other doctors told me that he is an excellent doctor. Today I had a colonoscopy/ endoscopy procedure. Dr. Albers is amazing. He answers all of your questions. Dr. Albers is very bright, thorough, kind, and attentive. His staff is very very kind and supportive. I highly recommend Dr. Albers.
I have been a patient of Dr. Albers for over 15 years and I feel that he is a very educated doctor and has trained many docs but he is kind, down to earth, aproachable, and he realy cares about his patients.
What a wonderful professional! He is careful and provides confidence. What a good experience! His team is remarkable.
Dr Albers is a good guy, and seems to care, his practice (actually all of UCI gastro) is pretty bad. No followup to questions on their portal, horrible dealing with insurance for medication, etc...
Dr. Albers is a renowned specialist in his field but his clinical style needs significant improvement. He let his intern do most of the talking with me during pre-procedure consultation while he himself simply read aloud instructions about colonoscopy for a few minutes toward the end of the session. He seemed to have overbooked patients for colonoscopy, causing me to wait more than two hours beyond my appointment time. I was supposed to be the first to receive the procedure in the afternoon but ended up being the last. His post-procedure follow-up was too brief and rushed without letting me ask questions. Overall, he seemed too busy to spend adequate time for each patient.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Dr. Albers charged my insurance $700 FOR AN OFFICE VISIT! We sat and talked! No procedures, nothing. I ended up getting a bill for $498 for that. And then an extra $137 just to have the visit in the hospital, even though we were in his clinic (it is within the hospital, so apparently they can charge you six ways to Sunday just for being on the property). Dr. Albers is nice but he didn't seem to know a lot about my condition, suggested a bunch of procedures I realize now I could NEVER afford, and I cannot believe the price. This is a doctor for the rich, so if you don't have the greatest insurance plan ever or a ton of money, do NOT go here! I called the office and the billing company for months going back and forth trying to do something to bring down the exorbitant cost of this regular office visit (I've never been charged more than $150), but they would never respond after saying they would help, and I finally had to pay to stop it from going to collections. My experience with UC Irvine Health is the exact reason our healthcare system is broken. If I could give 0/5 stars, I would.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
