I believe this doctor of osteopath (not an MD) likes to portray herself in a certain light and markets herself via social media (through charm and charisma) to be much better skillwise than she is. My suggestion would be to be cautious and do your homework prior to seeking any care from this person.

Dr. Prendergast is amazing! Knowledgable, sweet, with excellent bedside manner. Met her on the surgical oncology service as the chief resident. Always professional and took the time to explain the day-to-day updates to the whole family.

This surgical resident was horrible to me. She is extremely rude and incompetent. My family member was in the UCSD trauma bay. She attempted to explain what was happening. It was obvious that she wasn't very knowledgable and that she was irritated by our questions. She is a D.O is a predominantly M.D. hospital as well. I would hate to have another family member or myself be treated by her. Thankfully she was only taking care of my family member a short time. Moreover, a few of our nurses told us that everyone was happy that she was leaving soon. That says it all.
