My Name is Daniel Keith McDuff. I was diagnosed with cancer in Feb. 2020 as the pandemic began. I was referred to UCI because my problem was way to much for my regular urologist to handle. Dr Hugen is relaxed, brilliant and confident with a great bedside manner. He and his team worked closely with my Chemo team. After 3 months chemo Dr. Hugen and his team took care of the surgical aspects of my treatment. I remember waking up after surgery, seeing Dr Hugen with his team at my bedside. To me they were Super Heroes standing there! It has been a long recovery and Dr. Hugen and team has been there for every step of my recovery. Here we are two years later and I am still Cancer free! UCI Orange has an incredible group of professionals from top to bottom in every department. I would say the same if I wasn’t healed. I know they do their best for everyone. I highly recommend Dr Hugen and UCI Orange team. Thanks Super Heroes!!!

Three years ago, Dr. Hugen treated my father for advanced kidney cancer that had spread to his lungs. Although we lost my dad after a short battle, my family will be forever grateful for the care, professionalism, and kindness shown by this doctor. My mother could not believe that he would personally call her at the end of each day to provide an update on Dad's condition. I was led to leave this review today because I was speaking with members of my church this morning who loved my father as much as I did, and it brought back fond memories of our experiences at UCI Medical Center with all of the wonderful nursing staff and with Dr. Hugen. Many thanks, and God Bless!

In this month of gratitude, November, I am grateful for many things including Dr. Hugen. As I was cleaning up my house for the upcoming holiday, I was so thankful that Dr. Hugen has given me this opportunity to be with my family and friends this Thanksgiving. If I could give Dr. Hugen 6/5 stars for saving my life, I would, but 5 stars will have to suffice. :) Thank you so much!
