My 14 year old son injured his ankle at a bounce house facility and complained of pain and swelling. He's a baseball player so it was vital we get a proper diagnosis and assessment vs what the local urgent care told us (it was just sprained). Turns out he had an avulsion fracture that did not require surgery but was placed in a boot for stabilization. Complete faith in Dr. Smith and he was accurate in his assessment to the day of recovery time. Dr. Smith's CV reads like a superhero with his vast knowledge/experience and has amazing bedside manners as well. Very pleased to have him treat my son and would recommend him without hesitation.
Dr smith repeatedly ignored my complaints of pain and lack of movement,I had broken my radial head, after eight weeks said I was released. Pain continued saw another dr., turns out pain from shards of bone hat broke away from break, and radial head not healed properly, need surgery to fix to improve movement. Eight weeks wasted, now have to start healing over after surgery. I wonder if dr smith was treating his mother or wife he would have left them in condition he left me. Shame on you Dr Smith
My surgery was a complete failure, not just one time but, unfortunately, I had the misfortune of thinking he would get it right the second time around. He didn't and I found out from a true shoulder specialist that Dr. Smith had destroyed any possibility of repairing the torn rotator as he had destroyed my deltoid!
I have seen many orthopedic surgeons and Smith was one of the worst. Based upon the irrelevant questions he asked, his very limited physical evaluation of me and his odd comments, he clearly is just going through the motions, does not know what he is doing and should have retired a long time ago. I wouldn't trust this old geezer with the health of a stray cat.
Misdiagnosed. kept in pain for over a month until correct diagnosis. Very poor followup and after care.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
