My daughter had a surgery this morning at La Vera Surgical center. She had her 3rd set of ear tubes removed and a skin graft on one of the ears. The nurses were all awesome, the ent who we have been going to for our 3 children for many years was excellent. The only bad experience was Dr. Donald Ruhland. He was extremely rude, short and didn’t listen to any concerns or answer any questions. The worst bed side manner we’ve experienced with any doctor and we have been through a few dozen surgeries. He made an already stressful situation more stressful. Then when our 9 year old daughter got wheeled into the OR ...Dr, Ruhland said to her, “your mom was really stressed out, did she stress you out to?!”...not very happy about this. I think it’s time for this grouchy old timer to retire because he was just mean and shouldn’t deal with children or any adults that don’t have thick skin.
