List of Hal S. Shimazu's Reviews
I have had this doctor since I was born or a child and I am Deaf. Dr. Hal Shimazu has always been very kind and nice to my family. He also has been my dad's doctor for many years and my dad highly trusts him (which says a lot if you knew my dad). So I highly recommend Dr. Hal Shimazu and his office. He has always been very friendly with me and always treated me and others like an equal. Thank you Dr. for being you, you are a wonderful doctor! Thank you for cultivating a wonderful space in your building.
Been going here for 20 years. But recently the service has been horrible waiting over two months for Orthopedic referral.
Dr.Shimazu and his team are amazing! They are always so helpful when you may have a problem and go the extra mile to help solve! Dr Shimazu is the best Dr. I have ever had for all these years! He is extremely professional and takes all the extra time to help you!
None Better! My husband and I were patients of Dr. Shimazu for over 10 years. He was like the old fashion doctor who knew how to treat any kind of medical problem that came up in our time as his patients. He was up-to-date on the latest medications and knew whether or not a prescription was covered by the insurance. He would literally run from patient-to-patient down the hallway to each of the exam rooms to make sure he didn't keep anyone waiting too long. He practiced medicine on a pro-active basis to assure his patients stayed healthy rather than waiting until they became sick. For many years, we drove 2 hours to our visits to Dr. Shimazu but sadly, when we moved to another state we had to say goodbye. Since then, we've never had a better doctor who actively strived to keep his patients well which he did in a most efficient manner with upmost knowledge. We sure miss him and there is none better!
Excellent care I saw Ann after waiting for a new patient appointment. It was worth the wait! I came in with a list of concerns and each one was addressed. Two other doctors had been dismissive. At the end of my meeting Ann asked if there is anything else she could help me with. No one has ever offered help before. I have used their app for follow up communication and I receive a response the same day. Thank you.
Staff is friendly, helpful & attentive. I love my NP Ann here! She is down to earth & trustworthy.
I can’t say anything about the doctor because it takes months to see him. The receptionists makes a lot of mistakes. They schedule you on a certain time, then they call to confirm your appointment for a different time, then you go to the appointment and they say they can’t take you because you are late to your appointment. It was their fault, a mistake that they don’t recognize and do nothing to fix it. All they say is that they can’t see you until next 3 months. They also sent you to the wrong specialist. You call them to let them know that it’s a wrong specialist and they insist on the wrong specialist. They don’t know what they are doing and cannot be trusted with something so important as your health. Giving them one star was too much.
Great doctor with staff
Well went in for shoulder pain. Had an xray. They found a lung tumor. The Doctor actually left a message stating I had a tumor in my lung. Who leaves a message like that? Then we called to get more details and we were told he is with another patient. Then continuing the saga. After we saw a surgeon they ordered a pulmonary function test went in and they did not follow the doctor's orders so we had to go have it done again.
Took care of my cholesterol problems

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
