Had a serious case of melanoma on my face. Three surgeries later and I’m great. I could write a short story about how fabulous he was and is. I actually look forward to our visits. He literally saved my life. His bedside manor fits perfectly with my personality. We joke, laugh and generally seem to enjoy each other. I would recommend him to anyone dealing with melanoma. The staff are all thorough and kind and make me feel at home. I will sorely miss him on that day he retires. He definitely deserves a well earned break to enjoy his quiet time!

Dr Jakowatz was thorough in his exam. He explained ways the cancer may be treated. He will seek a second opinion and, after the necessary tests were completed, only then could a treatment plan be discussed.

Dr. Jakowatz and his team are great. He shows sincere concern for his patients well being. His examinations a thorough and he explains everything in an easy to understand way. I would trust him implicitly with any melanoma issue I may have in the future.

Words can’t even begin to describe how wonderful Dr J is. From my first visit with him, to surgery to making me laugh in preop and even into the OR. His compassion, wonderful bedside manner, and love of what he does carries over to his patients. When you’re facing a fatal disease having him beside you is a true joy. Dr J and his nurse Chiara are truly the best.
