Dr Kavita is the best doctor I’ve ever had. She is wise, she knows always what is going on, pays attention to even little details and takes action. If she suspects something, she doesn’t hesitate to do tests until things are working well. Thank you doctor. God Bless you for all you do for me.
Worst worst worst office. Please save your time and choose a better primary than this Dr. You will not get a return call, they lose records, say they do not get faxes, and could care less about their patients.
I love this doctor my daughter is a dentist and she recommended her, yes the office is a bit crowded and that’s because she’s awesome.
I love her, she’s very knowledgeable and caring, I have been a patient of Dr. Desai for years and I am very impressed with her.
My mother hasn't been able to see Dr. Dasai in over 6mths. She is never available and my mother ends up seeing her nurses aide. The office never calls her back when she leaves messages. According to Dr. Desai having a blood sugar count of over 300 is normal. Time to find a better dr.
Dr. Desai is a great doctor but lately I've been having a lot of problems with the office staff members. Every time I call, whether is to make an appt or to leave a message for Dr, they make me wait over 25 minutes before I get to talk to somebody. They don't follow up on calls or matters as they say they would do... it's very disappointing and frustrating dealing with them. Might be switching to another PCP.
This is the absolute worst doctors office I have ever experienced. I haven't seen Dr Desai in months. Each appt can only be made with a nurse practitioner. In the past, when I was able to see Dr Desai, it's been rushed. I never felt listened to at all. I hd an appointment set up 6wks in advance, received no phone call canceling the appt and was completely forgotten about. I need referrals to see specialist, specifically cardiologist and pulmonologist. It takes months to get these referrals. MONTHS THE! The office staff are horrendous. Do NOT go to this doctor.
Worst office ever. You can never get through to speak to anyone, nor get a call back. They lose your records and faxes. You, as the patient, needs to do follow ups. They won't. So if you are dealing with health issues that you can't have referrals sitting on someones desk somewhere gathering dust, please opt for another Doctor. I feel that she may have too many patients. She also discouraged me on getting referrals approved because I have an HMO. Like, does she get docked pay if she puts in a referral? Why did I get through on my last insurance with referrals being approved? Horrible horrible horrible. And you better write down your questions when you go see her because she is gone in seconds before you can go over anything.
Would not recommend this office. Dr Desai is kind but her staff are horrible. I feel that she has too many patients that her office is unorganized and have poor follow up protocol with patients. Her office does not treat me as if I am important and I have to follow up on each referral or they do not. Highly disappointed I chose her as my primary.
Dr.Desai is great, woman at the results line was extremely rude. When you call the office they put you on hold before you can even speak - sometimes this makes your wait even longer because once they answer you need to be transferred and the same thing happens when the next extension is answered. Be prepared for long waits on hold. Staff seemed confused today when I called for a referral.
Dr. Desai is very caring, listens well, polite, takes charge of matters rapidly.
She appears not to give a rat's behind.
Dr Desai has been taking care of my daughter and me since she first started in practice over 20 years ago. There have been times when it was difficult to get through on the phone, and wait times can be tedious. They do seem to be getting better over the past year or so. I highly recommend her.
Dr Desai is an outstanding PCP, who listens, cares, researches, gives options.
I have seen Dr. Desai 3 or 4 times. She has always given me plenty of time and concern. She treats me like she's known me for years. I am very comfortable with her and have never felt like she was rushing me out. Finally found a great doctor.
It's extremely difficult to get a same day appointment when you are very sick. You are put on hold forever and then when you do get seen it's like the doctor doesn't really listen to you, she seems like she just wants to hurry up and get you out. Even for regular visits it never seems like she trully listens to your concerns.
My first experience with Dr. Desai was many years ago, about April of 2004. My first experience with her was while I was having an acute ashtma attack. Never before had I received such great medical care. Being fearful of Dr.'s Dr. Desai won a place in my heart. Due to my fear of Dr's, and a change of insurance I didn't see Dr. Desai for some time....I went back again November of this year 2011. Once again, I found Dr. Desai to be warm and seemingly sincere. I would say she was angelically sweet, kind and soft spoken....... The PROBLEM WITH DR. DESAI, is that she does NOT LISTEN! My visit was for asthma medication, and only that, DR. DESAI EXPRESSED CONCERN FOR ME AND SHE SEEMED SINCERE AND GENUINE, SHE STATED SHE WANTED TO GIVE ME A "FULL TUNE UP". Having had the good expereince I had years prior I was open to TRUSTING HER. BIG (HUGE) MISTAKE. As I was talking to her she didn't get eye contact with me once. She had her eyes and nose burried in my chart making notes, notes that would soon seem unimportant to her. That in its self was ok, hey we all have our little quirks. For every one word I would say I would receive about 10 (umm humm, ok, alright, ok, mmm humm). I felt like saying "Oh my gosh would you please STOP THAT AND LISTEN TO ME". I won't get into all the details but I will say that Dr. Desai has totally dropped the ball on me, I really opened myself up to her, gave her every ounce of trust I could give anyone and it seems I have done so in vain. Please know that if you see Dr. Desai you are NOT JUST SEEING HER, the Physicians in this practice "share" their patients, meaning that where you might want to develope a trusting relationship with YOUR Doctor, the medical group does NOT WORK THAT WAY. First Pavillion Medical Group in a BUSINESS, and a BUSINESS FIRST! Additionally you don't get to talk to your Dr. unless you are in the office, otherwise you are speaking with medical assistance. Medical assistants who give misinformation. For example the day before Thanksgiving I was called and told I had protien in my urine, my goodess I spent the whole holiday researching on the internet and scared to death! Come Monday we get a call from another medical assistant (this is after my husband asked the first assistant to have Dr. Desai call us on Monday after returning from vacation. Did SHE CALL? No - Seemingly too darn busy..... And now that protien in my urine was bacteria We had been given mis information and they don't seem to care!Dr. Desai would not listen to our concerns for one minute! She was not willing to open her heart, or her ears to ANYTHING we had had say or share, In the end we found out what kind of person and Dr. she really is..... sadly.And.... do not take the singn on the back of the exam room fool you - the "if you not happy let us know" that is posted on the back of the exam room door- DON'T DO IT, IF YOU COMPLAIN chances are they will respond (at least she will) by dumping you as a patient! Soon I will be filing complaint with the California State Medical Board and seeking counsel.Dr. Desai does the term "FIRST DO NO HARM" meaning anything to you?Soon Dr. Desai you will forget me, but I assure you that I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!
Dr Desai is so sweet and caring! She is a great doctor and spends time with her patients.
