Mariposa Center's Online Review Report Card

Back in the 90s I had issues with everything! My counselor Patty helped me through it and mariposa got my confidence back and helped me continue with my life! I will always be grateful for having a place to go then..

This place is terrible. The counselors are uncompassionate and inexperienced. The staff talks amongst each other about you behind your back. They don't know how to genuinely help people but rather they cause people to feel worse about themselves. People are struggling and need help & support and the staff here is judgemental and immature. Go here only If you absolutely have to, otherwise avoid this place. It sucks.

If I could I would give this place a negative 5 star. Don't do individual therapy with them they don't care all they care about is ripping you off in sessions and stealing your money. Worst experience ever. Wasted over $600 for NOTHING! Just so they can come at me with the " I think you are not ready" they are LIARS! AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. they will have you hoping to therapist over and over. Very unprofessional organization.

I want to thank Mariposa Center, especially my counselor Tina for her dedication, care and interest in my situation. She is a awesome person and help me to become a better man, to improve myself in areas y needed to grow and to develop. THANK YOU!!!

I just went through the intake process two weeks ago, the process wasn't very smooth and their was confusion. During the intake process I filled out paperwork for my children to be in childcare while I attended the workshop. I told the person that did the intake I needed childcare yet, she failed to mention that I needed to sign up for childcare a week in advance. Today, I drove 20 minutes and showed up for the workshop only to learn this information. The lack of communication is very unprofessional.

They turn me down going to classes because i didnt have kids or money even though the classes were helping me.....It seems like they should of been able to help me out....��

This place is absolutely awful! I expect so courtesy from a mental health facility. They caused me more anxiety than what I came in for. The office lays dumb and uses the statements, "well I just do not know. I was denied access to a class because I had called and let them know I was coming from a psychiatrist appointment. What kind of mental health facility does not work with another mental health facility. They really do not care if you are upset. There is not follow through and no support if you are crisis. PLEASE DO NOT EASTE YOUR TIME HERE THEY WILL JUST LET YOU FEEL MORE MISERABLE.

This review is mostly for Tina, my counselor. When I first came to Mariposa I was in denial that I had a problem. But after months of Tina's emotional and knowledgeable support I was able to break out of my shell and open up, but that was just the beginning of my emotional journey to sobriety. After knowing, I relapsed and put Tina and my family in through another one of my many benders, after the matter, Tina, accepted the situation and pushed for better results, she was harder but always listened empathetically. And for that I'm where I am today, stronger, more confident, and sober. I'll always have a place in my heart for her. And I'm so grateful I found this place. I say this with an honest heart, Tina and this program saved my life.

I love this place! The support here is wonderful! Wonderful girls! Wonderful Conselors! I came from an inpatient and enrolled in this out patient program. It's helped me make my foundation even more solid for a sober life. It was a very great experience. And I'm glad I choose to go to Mariposa!
