I think he is a good doctor but a very very very very busy doctor. Not only he is never on time for the appointment, (which is common so understandable. ) but also very forgetful because he is so busy. He forgets to send my prescription to my pharmacy, he forgets why I come to see him for, forgets what and why he prescribed the medicine for me.

Nice doctor. Good bedside manners.

Extremely brilliant and knowledgeable. Willing to explain things in detail, and to talk things through with the patient. Felt very comfortable that we were a partnership of sorts in making important decisions about the direction of care.

Dr Pathik saved my husbands life at St. Joseph’s three years ago when he had encephalitis and a stroke. This doctor has loads of experience and is extremely intelligent. He has always been very upfront with us about everything. If you want a doctor who can really assess the situation and help you, this is your guy! If you want a doctor to hold your hand and tell you everything is rosy, keep looking.
My experience wasn't only with Dr . Pathak, it was with his entire office. To be fair, he works out of more than one office. The Fountain Valley office sucks. They never answer their phones. I needed a referral for CT Scans because my family has a genetic disorder that can cause strokes/aneurysms. My mother died from complications of a stroke caused by an aneurysm. My 41 year old son almost died of a stroke caused by an aneurysm. I was told by 3 doctors to get the scans. The referral never got forwarded to the insurance company. I had to drive back to his office to get the referral. I had to drive to his office to get copies of the results. He never saw me to explain them and he never even examined me. I have to go to another doctor to get the results explained. While waiting for the report a doctor came storming in from the hospital next door complaining that she had been calling for 30 minutes and they never answer their phones. Horrible experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
