List of Neelantha Desilva's Reviews
The professionalism of the office and possibly Dr. DeSilva is the issue: I was told by my primary care physician that I needed to meet with Dr. DeSilva about an important side effect of the medicine that he prescribed to me and that I need to come off of the med - but that I need to do it slowly with his help. I called the office and they were kind enough to get me an appointment for a phone meeting with him later in the same week. On the day of the appointment, they did not give me a specific time, so I had to be hypervigilient, keeping my phone on ready and wait for him to contact me all day. He never called or messaged me. The next day I called and let them know that I never received a call and they scheduled me a time to talk to him that day. That time came and went so I called to follow up. They told me he was running behind, so I waited another few hours then called again. I gave them an alternate number that he could also reach me on until a certain time and they said not to worry he will call soon. The end of the day approached and when I called again, I got the medical exchange who said they were all out of the office becuase they close early on a Friday. Again no call from the doctor or the medical staff. Now it is a long weekend and I will not be able to address this important medication issue until next week, and my confidence that I will get to talk to the doctor is pretty low at this point. I will be calling my Primary Physician on Tuesday to discuss changing doctors. While I think Dr. DeSilva is knowledgable, his office and appointment schedule is clearly unreliable. I want to be sure that I am seeing someone who cares enough about my well being to call me or at the very least communicate on some professionally sound level when I make and am assigned an appointment.
he's a jerk
Absolute worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. I should have left after my first appointment when I waited at the reception for 15 minutes only to have the receptionist appear with a full plate of breakfast food and tell me I was late for my appointment. He will give you samples of medications with no prescription for them, and his office staff is absolutely useless. I had to call in over and over again for the better part of 3 months, while they would give me a few samples at a time, to finally get the prior authorization with the insurance resolved. I was very polite and was hung up on and put on hold indefinitely many times by his office staff. Most recently I tried to make an appointment to follow up for treatment and it was cancelled "because the doctor will not be in the office" two days before I was due to be seen. I had been waiting 3 weeks to see the doctor. The girl told me her computer was off so she couldn't reschedule me. I called back the following business day and was told "our scheduling is all over the place, let me see what the doctor wants to do". Now today I receive a letter in the mail stating they will no longer see me. This is absolutely absurd and unacceptable behavior. This office is incompetent at best and arguably deliberately negligent to the care of their patients when they "fire" a client for following up on medication they need to survive.
If I could give them 0 starts I would. Run for your life away from this office. The administrative staff is disorganized, lacks empathy and is a complete mess. They book 8am appointments and then do not show up on time. The staff is completely unprofessional and if it is any indication of the doctor's abilities, you'll be better off googling your symptoms and self diagnosing.

Run for your life. His support staff are untimely, unprofessional and unresponsive. You are better off not going to any doctors that subjecting yourself to their service.
When dealing with mind altering drugs you would hope your doctor has your back and will return your calls in less than a whole week when you are having bad side effects . Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had and to top it off I thought I’d see him fir the last time but the office called me a half hour before my appointment to tell me he was out that day and they forgot to call to tell me . STAY CLEAR !
This individual is not truthful, skirts the facts and is not sensitive to patient's needs. I advise everyone to seek other physicians before you EVER consider treatment of any type from this weak and uneducated so-called doctor.

Very good doctor. Compassionate and helpful. I would definitely reccommend him to friends and family! A.R.R.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
