Truly a diamond in the rough, on boarding with Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists was smooth and they accept CalOptima / MediCal. The staff are attentive and my doctor is fantastic! Their text reminders system is well integrated and makes followups super consistent by reminding you a week out, the day prior, and the period before the appointment time!

I was nervous but it all worked out great. The people there were very polite and profession which calmed me down. They actually listened and took great care of all my needs and concerns. I was in great hands and I am truly glad I went. Thank you so incredibly much. Today I feel there's hope. On my way to getting the help I desperately needed. ❤️❤️❤️💯

May not be the best place if you have severe issues that need to be dealt with an history that they need to understand they constantly switch providers on you and have a high turnover rate the provider that I was just recently seeing quit with no notice and I wasn’t able to see her The new person i was supposed to see was so far behind because they’re always behind because they’re always short staffed because of the high turnover rate that I didn’t even get to see the provider and my next appointment is a few weeks away, and I will be out of all of my medication‘s by then

I have been with PNS for many years and I have had the same provider Dr Sheena Patel during this entire time. She has worked with me and we have tried different medications finding the right one for me to deal with my own personal issues. Two of my family members now go there and both are happy with the providers they have seen and continue to see on a monthly basis. I usually do not recommend doctors to other people because everyone has their own expectations of what their doctor should be like, but with PNS I made an exception. If you desire a certain kind of a provider that meets your needs or see one and don't feel they do you can always change providers or look on their website for one that is trained or has knowledge of your specific problem. They are all qualified, but some have certain expertise in certain areas. I had no problem when I made my first appt and still do not have any problems on a monthly basis. Another thing I like is I can always do telahealth on the phone which makes it convenient for me and maybe it will be for you after your first appointment. I would highly recommend PNS to anyone who needs to see a psychiatrist for any reason. It is also nice when your medications are refilled on time. I have never had to call about any medication issues. I have trust in my provider. When you want to really deal with your own issues you have to open up to someone who can treat them. In my case it is with medication and my provider was never that quick to put me on meds and started me out slowly. I know my issues did not happen over night so they are not going to magically get fixed so be patient and I'm sure you will find a psychiatrist that will help you achieve peace of mind, less stress, controlled anxiety, no more racing thoughts so long as you give it time. I had to remind myself that my provider cannot perform miracles I have to participate and she knows I do and I am grateful for her Dr. Sheena Patel

Michael is a very nice man, he is always calm and sweet. I always feel very comfortable with him, he listens, gives great advice and always welling to lend a helping hand in to help you get better and feel more comfortable with yourself and too see what else he is able to help with.
