List of Providence Health & Services's Reviews
As stated in 2019 (and to-date), this hospital is not and does not live up to its name. Just get thee in and get thee out?? No sense of good medical care. Physician, Jeffrey Ballard is a very good yet bad example of that. Do NOT allow the nice building to allow you to think you will receive better service. You will just be charged more.
I would like to commend the PBX operators on their professionalism and efficiency. 5 stars.
Reviewing my medical records from here in true disbelief. I went to this ED over 12 times in the course of 3 years with severe neck pain that progressed to numbness and tingling in one arm, to complete numbness in both. Never ONCE did they order a neck scan. Diagnosed with anxiety Every.Single.Time. I was put on psych watch on one occasion. I recently found out I have a progressive spinal disease that progressed through my entire spinal cord that would have been saved if they ever once ordered a scan. It is a disgrace to medicine and a disgrace to physicians. Please save yourself, go somewhere else so you don't ever have to experience what I am now going through. My advice- every physician in this ED who I saw needs to be return to medical school and evaluate the Implications of Stigmatized Attitudes of Healthcare Providers,A Barrier for Delivering Universal Quality Care. If you do go here- do not disclose you take generalized anxiety medicine or that will be your diagnosis.
I’ve been in the hospital for 4 days, surgery was this morning, so will have 1 more for observation. I have to say that from ER, day and night staff, OR, post-op care - every single staff member here has been caring, efficient, and respectful. Even the person who takes the food order was nice and took her time to go over choices within my diet plan. Fortunately I did not have the experience of other commenters, as I was able to be seen in ER with not much wait — maybe because I went in nearly midnight? It’s obvious that nearly everyone I’ve interacted with loves their jobs. Both the internist and surgeon went into thorough detail on my situation and what the surgery would entail. I feel I got an anatomy lesson out of this. It’s also obvious that nursing is understaffed and often in a hurry to go from patient to patient. I appreciate their good attitudes under such conditions. The negatives are that it takes visitors so long to get inside, and then badges expire so quickly that they cannot easily leave and come again — which is worse by the one visitor at a time Covid policy. Also, the parking fees are too high. Less than 3 hours, yet my daughter had to pay $9!
Thank you Armando from ER Registration for bring do professional making it easy to do a payment over the phone!!! I was nervous because I didn’t receive any bill In the mail for my visit . It’s 3 months Nd I was nervous that it probably went to collections. Thank you for making it super easy Armando to do the payment over the phone.
I have a bill that has a pending amount that I can’t get them to remove from my account. I have the canceled check that it was paid but they refuse to remove. I started calling the billing office everyday and I am told it will take 4 to 6 weeks… I have been trying to get this off my account for months. I’m Very disappointed on the hassle that should have been an easy fix.Update: after many calls, writing a bad review, and contacting the BBB… the hospital has removed the pending balance on my account.
Excellent service ❤️
It’s so dirty! They don’t wipe down the table beds after patients. There were fluids from a previous a patient when we were brought into one of the rooms, all they do is throw on a new sheet half way in there
I came in on Saturday, Sept 26th in the middle of the afternoon. I had to be seen for kidney stones. Teresa at the front desk was awesome. She made me feel comfortable, or as much as I possibly could be. They got me back within 20 mins. Jacqueline C., my nurse was amazing!!! She was always checking in on me and not once did she insinuate the reason for my visit. I can’t say the same for Dr. Malarkey. He came by and very bluntly suggested that I was there for just pain medication. After he left, I showed my nurse proof that I have had a kidney stone obstructed for the past 20 days. After my CT scan came back, we found that both of my kidneys were obstructed with numerous kidney stones. After Dr. Malarkey left, Dr. Young came in and told me how bad the situation was. He was awesome. He believed what I was saying as far as how painful it was and not once did he question if I was there to just get a fix for narcotics. I would give 5 stars except for Dr. Malarky. Jackie C., Dr. Young, and Teresa were amazing. If I ever have an emergency again like this, I will definitely go back.
I went to the ER and was in there for 2 weeks suffering from pneumonia. I just have to say that all the doctors and nurses took really good care of me and I am now back to normal. Thanks everyone and especially a nurse named Hailey.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
