It's unfortunate Dr. Newman doesn't seem to practice around RSM/Mission Viejo area. I'm on the market for a new PCP and I can only see him at Marque Urgent Care in RSM. I think his main practice is in Orange? Anyway, I immediately had a good sense about him after seeing him for possible strep or bacterial infection. He seems very knowledgeable and quick to find the correct diagnosis or course of action.

Excellent doctor! Take the time to explain the condition and he is super helpful. Our toddler had bronquiolities and he walked us over the symptoms and treatment very well!

Dr. Newman is the best doctor I've ever had in my adult life. The first time he saw me he spent forty-five minutes just talking with me and getting my extensive medical history, and never once did I feel like he was talking down to me or disregarding what I said. Every single meeting with him since has been that way, an actual discussion about my health and not just a "Hmm, sounds like you have this issue, here's a drug for it now get out" conversation like so many other doctors do. When I get blood work done he goes over each reading line by line and explains what they are and what they mean, and how we could manipulate them to get in range if they're not right. He plays it safe with medications and treatments, opting for the minimum required and going up from there. He also listens to my own recommendations and requests and if they're not outrageous he orders them up. If you are in need of a new doctor, Dr. Scott Newman is the one to see. Yelp has incorrect info for his location. He recently started practicing at Marque Urgent Care in Newport Beach and Rancho Santa Margarita. UrgentCare3D/Urgent Med shut down completely and he does not work for them any more.

I I've had a lot of doctors the last few years and when I found an emergency and I saw him at the Urgent Care and I try to go I would even sleep because I always wanted to see him he's Lori you know you have to only come with his emergency but he was the most caring doctor and you do not find this these days and he always found out was wrong with me and he always put up with me and he had a good good camera and bedside Manner and my kids just start going to him they loved him we are desperately trying to find him again he was last at the Urgent Care they closed all of them we live in Irvine I tried to email him but I have referred a lot of people to him I think he's the best doctor I've ever been to and I sure miss them

Dr. Newman was my physician over 35 years ago. Still remember him. Great doctor. Great family doctor. He followed my prenatal work and pcp for my daughter.

Dr. Newman is the absolute best family doctor we have ever had. My wife and I knew that from the first appt. we had with him. He is thorough, friendly, and spoke with clarity. He was just a pleasure to talk to and we completely trusted him with our care immediately. We have been his patients for almost 5 years now. Our first visit he spent a lot of time going over family medical history to get a complete picture of our health. The day Dr. Newman retires will be a great day for him but a sad day for us.

Great Dr. that genuinely cares! Dr. Newman was the first Dr. that I’ve met that genuinely cares. I only wish I could have kept him as my primary care Dr. but I moved out of state.
