Spent time answering all my questions and explaining everything very well. I would recommend this doctor.
This guy is exactly what is wrong with our healthcare system. He told me to "chill the f**k out", recommended trying muscle relaxers, and totally disregarded my reported symptoms. I was 18 years old at the time. All he had to do was give me a simple ultrasound. One year later, because of this neglect I had to undergo a complicated surgery because my varicocele had grown so much that it made my testicular pain horrendous. "What do you want me to do? Cut you open? You'll be awake for all of it." - he literally said this to me discouraging me form taking any medical action I urge you to seek a second opinion after this guy. He discouraged me and blamed my physical ailments on "anxiety" and suggested taking muscle relaxers. What a joke of a doctor.

To say he has poor bedside manner is the understatement of the century. He was flat out mean. My wife came home in tears after bringing our daughter to see Dr. Beck. My daughter too. He claims to be the only pediatric urologist around but we found another, thank goodness. Oh and they had to wait 45 minutes. It's like your time, your dignity, and basically nothing about you, matter, when visiting Dr. Beck.

I took my 9 y.o. daughter for a consultation with Dr. Beck. After years of urology issues that we thought were resolved, she started getting a lot of UTIs and was referred to Dr. Beck by her pediatrician. I tried to tell him about all the trauma we have experienced around these urology troubles but either he didn’t listen or he didn’t care. We spent about 20 mins with him—19 minutes too long. He was horrible, condescending, aggressive, and hostile. He completely dismissed my concerns, blamed my daughter for her urology troubles, and tried to terrify us of the results if we didn’t do as he said. He didn’t even have the courtesy to introduce himself when he came in. He barged in, demanded, “What’s your problem? Why are you here today?” and after I protested about his aggressive interrogation of my daughter (“Why are you leaking? Why do you wait to go? Answer me. Why? Why are you doing this?” — even I started feeling fightflightfreeze activation because of his overwhelming intensity!) he told me, “I don’t care if you don’t like me, I just need to get this fixed.” I’m beside myself with outrage at how we were treated. My daughter left in tears she was so scared and he shamed her so profusely. Why specialize in pediatrics if you don’t have compassion for children?? I can’t believe he even has a practice still if he treats people like that. I will tell anyone and everyone who will listen to go anywhere else but to him. Please do not subject yourself or your loved ones to his treatment. There are plenty of knowledgeable urologists who will treat you with dignity, compassion, and respect but Dr. Beck is not one of them.

This is the worst Dr. visit I have ever experienced in my life and it wasnt even for me. It was for my 5 yr. old son. There is so much to say, I am overwhelmed with the negative emotions Im feeling. First of all, there was no such intro. from this man for us coming. He came into the room and sat on top of the trashcan and didnt notify me of why he was interrogating me regarding my sons medical history. He neglected to mention that he never received his medical records and was so rude with how I am following up with Dr. visits because my sons back is bothering him. Second of all, he bossed around my son and spoke to him like he was an adult. He made me and my son feel so completely uncomfortable. This man acted like I was an idiot and spoke to me like I went to medical school. Of course I know about my sons history but this mans arrogance is being overshadowed by his expertise. Never in my life would I recommend him to people needs specialist care in this field; I regret going!

I was surprised to open my first bill in the mail from Dr. Beck on 3/2020. The doctor had decided to bill me an extra amount OVER a year after the initial visit had occurred. I called Dr. Beck’s office, was told that they would look into doing an account adjustment and would call me back. No one called me back and today, 4/2020, I received a 2nd bill from Dr. Beck’s office, stating that my account was now overdue. Really?? During a pandemic when many people are struggling to find work and pay for things, Dr. Beck’s office decides to send bills for procedures that happened over a year ago? It would be nice to find a doctor who actually cares about patients, and not just money. This unethical practice lies to patients about service costs.

Dr is very rude to hospital staff.
A few years ago I had a overgrown prostate and had to be admitted to the emergency room. Dr. Beck examined me and got me right into surgery. That was a few years ago but my prostate problems have been resolved and now I only see him once a year. He is the best urologist!

Dr. Beck performed a procedure on my Son a few weeks ago. I found him to be quite approachable, and extremely knowledgeable when it came to my questions about the procedure. I was nervous at first (after reading a bad google review) to schedule with him, since my son is so young. But I have to say: don't always trust reviews. The person who commented on 'bedside manner' should be more concerned with finding 'a really great Doctor'. Dr. Beck doesn't sugar-coat, he speaks frankly. I (for one) prefer it. The procedure went great, and I'm really glad we chose Dr. Beck.

Poor bedside manner, like experience and laughable review of medical status typical of a doctor last in class. I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy.
