This is a worst hospital you want to be In … dr here are very unprofessional… they will make you expect things that they will not do instead just full of excuses

The WiFi service is terrible here. Parking is also overpriced for guests and should be free for patients.

So far the nurses have been wonderful. There were a few things I didn’t like, however they weren’t major. But, the cafeteria food that the patients get in their rooms is horrible. I don’t understand why administration continues to allow the food to be this way for patients. How can they get better if they won’t eat the food? Please change this. The food for visitors is a 4/5. Yeah for the nurses and housekeepers!!!

ZERO stars if that was an option. I went to this center to get a consult for a benign mass in the neck area. After 4-5 imaging services, full blood studies and everything confirming the nature of the mass they wanted me to see their head &neck surgeon. After 3 hours wait, I finally got to see her. She wanted to do a biopsy, just to make sure that the mass was benign. Even though every imaging and every test had indicated otherwise, she insisted to do a biopsy. She moved me to the next room in her office and started with a numbing meds. She said that I won't feel a thing after that. When I screamed from pain, she said that the type of mass I had could not be numbed, so she should inject the medication in the mass itself. I agreed to that. No relief. Again, she repeated the same b.s!!! Finally she said she can try one more time to get a sample if I can tolerate the pain. Since I had gone through all that already, I decided to pursue and be done with it. She proceeded, only to learn one week later that she could not get enough tissue! She then sent me to an interventional radiologist to get it done under anesthesia. This guy was completely shocked to hear that his colleague performed a risky biopsy while I was awake! He explained that I did not need to do a biopsy and said if I wanted it, it can be only done under anesthesia...I decided to go and seek consultation from 2 other surgeons outside of UCI. Both confirmed that biopsy was in fact risky and not even needed.2 months later, the bills started coming in. When I went through the details of a $5000 bill, I surprisingly found out that none of the procedures in room 2 of her office (painful, unsuccessful biopsy) was covered by insurance!!! I contacted UCI and told them that paying $5000 for an un-necessary, risky, and failed procedure when nobody even bothered to tell me it's not going to be covered by insurance is a un-acceptable. They simply said sorry and did nothing. It did not take them long to send it to collection agencies. So, I decided to file a claim to the California Department of Managed Care. They sent the case to a legal group and I was able to get out of those ridiculous charges after 10 months of fight.To anyone reading this review: do yourself a favor and stay away from this place! You will be the subject of study for a bunch of inexperienced residents at best. The surgeon whom I met complained how little she makes and how she only receives $10 for an ultrasound study that she must do to locate the mass. I had never witnessed such a low level of professionalism at a doctor office...I reported that to UCI and again they did nothing.Again, do yourself a huge favor and go elsewhere. Once they know you have an insurance policy that pays well, they find every possible way to charge it. The bills I received from them includes services that was not even performed...

World class care....LOL. The doctors are 2nd rate at best especially in the neurological unit and especially when it comes to EPILEPSY. The care I have received there is horrible. BEFORE coming to University California of Idiots I had gone TEN YEARS without a seizure. in the last 3 years I've had FIVE. Why??? Because my previous Epitologist had retired. And in the past year my "Doctor" kept increasing my medication. I'm currently trying to work with her and maybe...lol she will listen to me for a change. But I doubt it because she's a pill pusher. 💊. I've had this illness for 44 years and I know more than she does. I've had it longer than most of the people who work there have been alive. My bill was over $1400 after 20% covered by insurance. I am a full-time student so that payment was over my budget. I had to divide it into smaller pieces. During that time, UCI medial auto-machine kept calling me for paying off the amount. They called 10 times everyday, causing annoying. Even I paid off to $300 left, they kept calling me. a woman calling from UCI billing service center asking about the payoff. I was very angry and put all my anger on her. I felt sorry about it. After anxiety calling, UCI still keeps calling me asking for the payoff. Are they afraid that i wont pay them any cent? I will never go to UCI again >"<
