I have nothing but the most amazing things to say about Dr. Holly Yong. She is a smart, confident, breath of fresh air. Her confidence and knowledge made me feel safe and able to trust her. I wish every person in the medical field was as dedicated and compassionate as her. The world would be a better place.
This infusion center across from the UCI hospital is not much of a saint place either. One time I heard a few nurses giggle while whispering to each other saying "No hope for them" at one point, cancer is NOT a fricking joke. If a person asks for oxygen or needs something, they start laughing and take their time rather than taking a situation seriously. Also there are a few Filipino workers who have purposely talked rudely about their patients in another language thinking that "nobody can understand" the harsh things they have said, along with the way they have mistreated their patients.
Fantastic patient service from Julie, Ciara, Joe and outstanding Jenny. These people really care! Dr. Thuy Tran is very special. There is a very healing feeling in all who work here. We are so lucky . May God bless all of their families!🙏🎑🎀 June 4..spoke with Homa today..sweetest nurse on the planet. Just had to tell everybody😃
Everyone is very nice and professional with the level of care. Valery Vilchez is a wonderful, compassionate and caring doctor. She listens and shows she cares. Thankful I got her as my doctor very gratefu
I am back here at UCI medical to do. T annual transfusion . Knowledgeable and kind staff here!
I was referred to Dr Smith for complex case. He would not let me speak, told me I was being dramatic when I was voicing my concerns, made me feel uncomfortable and completely unheard. Very arrogant dr. more interested in hearing himself speak than his patient. If you want to be treated with respect go elsewhere.
The staff was kind, courteous and helpful. Dr. Lin was gentle, thorough and answered all.questions with patience and compassion. Overall one of the best examples of excellent patient care that I have experienced!
If i can give this UCI facility place for rip off i would. I came in for 1 visit to remove a wart on my fingure. They charged me $545 for the use of the room. $758 for seeing the doctor and removing the wart. For the total of $1303, just to remove 1 wart. The wart didn't even come off completely.
UCI Chao Cancer Care doctors are great! The staff overall are also great. The only thing that sucks is the long wait time sometimes and the scheduling part in the beginning. We have been playing phone tag with a scheduler and every time we call back, someone would either hang up on us or said she is on another line. In this time and age, especially for a big hospital like UCI, this scheduling piece is not too efficient. As patients we would love to be able to schedule through MyChart and the less we have to spend time with these calls is better. Save everyone time, especially for cancer patients who don’t have much time left. Just a thought. But we would still choose UCI over other hospitals in this area. UPDATE: I have to say that the infusion center this morning at Chao has been a mess, especially the person who sat right in the front who collected the paperwork and is supposed to release the lab order to the lab. It has been an hour since our scheduled time and still no lab work is done. Came back to check with her 2 time and this is what she said “We have 162 patients and you’re not the only one”. Not sure what that’s supposed to mean, like a patient is just another fish in the ocean for UCI??? But if you have that many patients, maybe not scheduling them all at 1 time and told them to come early then this happens? Patient is expected to be all day here at UCI seeing multiple doctors plus chemo and radiation and I can’t believe the person who is responsible to release the lab order is the bottle neck.
The worst center you can ever go to for treatment , they make you feel sicker, neither staff, nor Managment gives a damn about you or your health because they never try to fix their problems, scheduling is a big mess, if your appointment is at 1 don't expect to go in until 2-2:30, they are never on time and every week they have a new excuse for being late on sick patients. Stay away from this center and I can't wait to finish my treatment here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
