I’ve seen Dr. Lin several times for recurring Auricular Perichondritis which is an unusual, complicated and somewhat scary exterior ear issue. In my multiple experiences, Dr. Lin is a very knowledgeable, efficient, patient and articulate ENT. There’s no other doctor I’d want to see besides Dr. Lin should this condition or any other ENT related issue arise!

After several visits to the doctors, having a bleeding ear and being told its a "swimmers ear" I was finally referred to a doctor who then referred me to Dr. Lin. As soon as I saw Dr Lin he was able to diagnose and find that I had a large tumour inside of my ear which was sitting on my facial nerve (acoustic neuroma) At that time I had no idea what was going on since I was only 14-15. Dr Lin took the time to give my parents re-assurance, strength and hope. Every appointment he took the time and care to explain everything that was going on with me in detail. He also explained the procedure step by step and told them everything will be okay. Dr Lin has been taking care of me since I was 15. Since that time he has performed three surgeries on my ear and all three have been extremely successful. He got rid of ALL of my tumour without affecting any of my face/facial nerve. Due to the tumour size my hearing did get affected and Dr Lin was able to introduce the bone bridge implant to me. After recommending the bone bridge implant my hearing feels 100%. After these surgeries I never get migraines, nausea or dizzy spells anymore. Dr Lin truly cares about his patients. He is calm, caring and polite. Dr Lin is one of the greatest doctors I have ever had and I thank god every day that he was able to get me out of such a hard time in my life. He made a life changing surgery feel like it was nothing. From my surgeries to recovery everything was a breeze. He is very knowledgeable and extremely educated. No other surgeon would have been able to perform my surgery in the way that he did. I highly recommend Dr Lin to anyone who is having any sort of ENT issues. 10 years later and I still see Dr Lin. He always takes his time to check up and see if I am okay and if I am having any issues. He treats his patients like family. Sunny Brook is very lucky to have him. We need more doctors like him.

My experience with Dr. Lin has been fantastic. He takes the time to explain the surgery, the risks, side effects and benefits. He was even available to call me back when I had follow up questions stemming from a scheduled call. I have not met a specialist who treats their patients with the respect that Dr. Lin does. I highly recommend him and his team.

Dr. Lin exceeds all expectation of a doctor. He is knowledgeable, patient, very personable, and professional. Not once did I feel that my question or opinion was not important. He made having life changing surgery seem like I was getting my tonsils out. Would highly recommend Dr. Lin at Sunnybrook.

He is truly a great doctor and brings a breadth of knowledge while explaining things concisely. He is also relatable and has good mannerisms and a sense of humour. Sure, you may wait a while to see him often but he is well worth the wait. Highly recommended, even then that would be an understatement.

What an amazing doctor Dr Lin is. He has a wealth of knowledge and yet he does not talk to you in a condescending way which may doctors of his intellectualism do. He is very good with explaining and will ask you about yourself. He actually remembers things about you other than what your issue is. Very confident in allowing Dr. Lin to oversee my long history of ear problems from infections as an infant that lead to deafness from neglectful doctors past.

Most knowledgeable, nonjudgmental, has his patients' best interest at heart. Sunnybrook is very lucky to have a doctor like dr.lin.

He listens to his patients. Although he is yet not able to figure out what my actual cause of hearing loss is but I feel he is trying. However the wait time at the office is terrible. I need to have 3-4 hrs free just to go in and out of the office and back to your regular errands. That frustrates me.

Dr.Lin is amazing as well as all the staff. 10 years ago I had to have Brain surgery replacing the floor in which the brain sits. He was successful saving my life because when i was referred doctors did not give me long to survive. Dr.lin was the only doctor in ontario willing to see me due to.my size and family medical history. Dr lin explained everything step by step to myself and my family. He did not judge me and treated me as a person. I still see dr lin 10 years later and i can not thank him and everyone else who helped enough. Walking into the office be known by my first name and not a number made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I would recommend dr lin to anyone. I am living proof that miracles do happen and i must say he didnt have it easy but never gave it a second thought. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart 👌
