Dr Merrill is arrogant and impersonal. After keeping me waiting for almost an hour past my appt time, he rushed into the exam room, never introduced himself, did a cursory exam of my eyes and concluded there was nothing he would do to correct my vision problem resulting from cataract surgery. Why, I asked. Because he didn't feel we had a good rapport.

I loved this doctor. He was knowledgeable, immediately diagnosed a condition I had never heard of, performed a laser procedure, and established a coordinated plan with other specialists. He was warm and kind, with a subtle sense of humor.

I had a torn retina. I was referred to Dr. Merrill and after his exam, he sent me to California Retina Specialists who performed the necessary laser surgery with 2 hrs of my initial visit with Dr. Merrill. I was SO impressed the Dr. Merrill and his staff were able to evaluate my situation and get me to the proper specialist so quickly. Since then I have taken my husband to him since he has special eye problems. Couldn't be happier!

Dr. Merrill has just completed my cataract surgery and I am nothing but pleased with the outcome. He is an excellent Doctor who really cares about his patients as I have a friend who had complications with her surgery, but now has no doubt, that she had the best of care with Dr. Merrill. I will continue to recommend Dr. Merrill to anyone who is in need of an excellent Ophthalmologist.
