Terrible bedside manner, Impatient, not sure why he is in practice.

Fantastic surgeon! I had inguinal hernia surgery yesterday afternoon. everything went smoothly, every staff member on the team was excellent and very warm and thoughtful. Last night I used ice one time and took a pain pill. I woke up this morning with mild discomfort. No swelling or inflammation. Didn't need ice or pain pill. I feel like my normal self, normal energy. I did the dishes this morning. My wife was very pleased. LOL. Seriously, she can't believe I'm up and about! I'm very grateful!

Excellent Surgeon! Professional, friendly, assertive. He gets the job done. If you are in need of general surgery, look no further. You will not be disappointed here. Dr Tuai is a great surgeon but needs to work on his communication and bedside manner. I had MAJOR surgery and at 8 weeks post op, I was still having some symptoms. I was advised by his medical asst to make an appt with Dr Tuai instead of my primary doctor. When I went in for my appt ,he was very short , didn't want to hear what I had to say, did not examine me, and that by the book, I was healed and ready to go back to working 12 hr days. If I still had pain or exhaustion that did not matter. Advised me to see my primary doctor for further follow up. I felt like I was just another number or dollar sign. I do say though, that Liz and Yvette are awesome employees. Ended up that I went to see my primary doctor and she recommended that I have a follow up CT scan (which Dr Tuai did not do) and light duty for the time being.

Top notch care, kept me well informed unlike most doctors. He had a team of residents working with me so I was never without someone if I needed anything. This was my 2nd stay in a week for the same thing & between the 2 stays no comparison Dr Tuai and his team treated me with respect, made sure I was as comfortable as I could be at all times, I was able to get through this stay with my dignity in tact & for what I was hospitalized that’s hard to do! Dr Tuai is the BEST!!!!

When under stress, I remember only certain things. He showed care and ease on what's scariest moment of my life.

Very confident and takes his time to answer questions with ease which builds trust for me. Very important step to whats unknown.

Dr. Tuai understands anxiety undergoing surgery and made it easier to cope with. I will go back to him if I need any in the future.

I had gallbladder removed by him. He made the painful experience comfortable enough for me to go though. I have a lot of anxiety and stress. He also made very small incisions. It is almost invisible all healed up!

Would like to express my thanks and gratitude to Dr Tuai for his professionalism, skill and demeanor in performing robotic surgery to repair my stomach hernia. My hernia was fairly large and it required a TARS procedure to correct it. The surgery was 5/6 hours long and was very successful. I thought I would be in considerable pain for at least a few days but to my astonishment my pain was way less than anticipated. Other than lifting I was back to my long walks and normal activities in 3 or 4 days! Stomach looks great. Highly recommend Dr. Tuai for any surgery you might be considering.
