Del Monte Village - Assisted Living & Memory Care - Pacific Grove's Online Review Report Card

I'm shocked that my updated review wasn't shared. After moving my father into del Monte assisted living I was happy. All seemed to be going well. Well, that was short lived. Within just months my father was scammed out of thousands of dollars by one of the care givers employed by Del Monte assisted living. It was absolutely horrific. Immediately after finding out about these charges and funds stolen, we moved him out. The owners were far from empathetic. The facility itself was scary, the grounds seemed dangerous for the elderly, dirty. The residents laid in their beds crying for help. Food was served on styrofoam plates. I wish I could erase this place from my memory. Happy to see that they have closed and not surprised.

Owners and staff give their full attention to the residents. Medical staff are very caring and knowledgeable. Buildings and grounds are well kept too !!

Horrible service. Admin, caretakers, and nursing assistants are often heard mocking residents. Getting someone to give a partial or full bath is like pulling teeth. There are a few caretakers and nursing assistants that genuinely care, but even they are bogged down by admin whom are all pretty much related to one another.

I'm still surprised on how I made such a huge amount of profits after seeing Many people complaining of being scammed through forex/bitcoin trading, this is just amazing and am still shocked. We are so grateful to the staff at Del Monte assisted Living in Pacific Grove. Ashley Rider in Admin answered all of our questions patiently. She helped facilitate the insurance and Hospice. Although my mother was only there for just over 2 weeks the staff was caring and gentle from the beginning. They allowed the family to visit at all hours and we set up our table and had dinner with Mom every night. When we lost Mom, the staff was there immediately and knew exactly what to do and helped us get through. Their compassion meant a lot to us as we started grieving.

Mr. Sani did not get all the facts regarding incident with Susan Swanson and the fact she lost her temper with me.

Please do your due diligence before placing a loved one at the Del Monte in Pacific Grove. 2-years ago, I wrote a glowing review and I was so appreciative that the staff was able to keep residents safe through COVID. Unfortunately, this facility was unable to bounce back. A very poorly run facility. I recommend doing a CDSS search of Del Monte Assisted Living at the California Department of Social Services website prior to placing a loved one here. There are far better options available nearby.

If i could give zero stars i would. Theres no way this place has the rating they do. Im here every day with my family member and it is a crap show. They cant keep staffiing and if they get a good one they drive them out because they dont like when they try to make things better. The food is horrible. No snacks. No love. No activities. They hardly have enough staff in the big area to assist anyone. My family member has not had their teeth brushed since they have been here almost a year ago. They eat breakfast in the pajamas and sometimes no pants. The heat is turned down low so the old people are always so cold. The staff is not supplied with gloves or the neccesary things they need to work here. The staff has to beg for the paychecks and their overtime. Maintenece is not kept up. The state department has been here multiple multiple times and they've had many many violations. There's hardly ever a med tech on duty so if they get their medicine it's a miracle. They dont reorder medicine on time. Lots of suffering mentally and physically here. If you love your family member you should not put them here
