List of Acuity Eye Group - Palm Springs's Reviews
All the personal are very knowledgeable and Curtious.
Gave 2 stars only because I never got to talk to anyone. Went through all the prompts trying to make an appointment finally ready to leave a message and it said sorry mailbox full and hung up. Yes they did remind me twice and then when I try to make appointment no contact.
Slow! Been a patient for a few years. They ask you to arrive on time then you wait, wait and wait to be seen. They also have a small limited selection of frames. I respect their time/schedules and they should do the same. Will give them credit the support staff is nice. The one an only DR I have seen is very clinical and not real friendly. Shame now I have to find another place. Any recommendations let me know.
The office is very clean and neat , The front desk was a little bit confused about my insurance that I've already talk to him about it before but besides that- I had a very good examination and kudos goes out to the person that help me Jennifer Cerruti an excellent employee very knowledgeable all in all an excellent employee
The staff is so sweet Dr was nice and helpful they glasses lady was so fun and helpful.
I would recommend Retna Institute of California to everyone who needs eye care. The front and back staff is great and always makes you feel very welcome. Dr. Samuels is awesome and answers all of your questions and I felt assured that I was getting the best possible help possible.
If you want to go to a provider and feel like you are in a cattle call and be treated like an assembly line, this is the place to go. I waited 30 min + after my appt. time to be called back. Once in the room, I was given the routine tests but then I was told they wanted to do the more "specialized" tests because the doctor wants them every time. I said no because they have already completed those tests twice this year. They shouldn't be doing these just to bill the insurance and, in my case, Medicare.Once I finally got to see the doctor, I expressed my concerns to him. His response was to not schedule me further. In other words, you complain, you are out. Not a good way to run a practice. But, since the waiting room is packed with elderly people who generally won't say anything, it makes sense that they do business like this.
Had myself and family seen at the palm springs location. Doctors were good but the optical department left a lot to be desired. A complete breakdown in communication, failure to respond to emails or voicemails; the voicemail box has remained full for over three weeks prompting personal visits to the office to obtain information about eyeglasses for my children. Saddest part is the child that needed them the most is still waiting for delivery and told maybe another three to four weeks. When asked if there was any tracking or information on the delays or plan of action to remedy the issue it was said it was an issue of frames with the lab.Unacceptable service and lack of customer contact and escalation of issues prompt a low rating.
Oh dear.Sent my husband there for an exam and new frames. Big mistake. The show room was horribly disorganized. No way to to tell men's from women's frames.Nobody wants to help, except the widows that won't get out of your face.Worse yet, (we were not informed prior) the doctor was there via Zoom and the tech running the machine elements in the office was sloppy and the machines were filthy. Had to get another exam elsewhere to get the proper Rx.It was a waste of time.
Very frustrating. Put on hold for 20 minutes then transferred to Optical for another 10. Then transferred to someone at the main office in Pasadena. The Optical phone message box is consistently full.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
