List of Desert Regional Medical Center's Reviews
I had to wait a while to write this because I didn't want to write a bad review based on being upset...l had my daughter 5/2/21. I was due to be induced on 4/27/21 but unfortunately there were no beds available so if you have a day or month in mind for your delivery, forget it. It doesn't work that way. Besides that, my delivery was horrible. Yes my daughter was delivered safely & healthy but because the nurses would not listen to me, I was unable to get an epidural in time & had my daughter with no meds & the worst pain of my life. It was so bad that I was in shock days after. My body would just go into fits of uncontrollable shaking randomly. I couldn't even bond with my baby after. My nurse was nice & so was the rest of the staff but just because you guys have been doing deliveries for some time, doesn't mean you should disregard a patient knowing their body. I told them several times that something wasn't right but by the time I was "checked" I was complete, her head was too close & it was too late for an epidural. I was angry, scared & devastated all at the same time. It shouldn't have happened like that & hopefully my review will prevent it from happening again.
I was shocked by the border patrol presence. I walked in to visit a patient and which I encountered a patrol agent stationed periodically. For what?
Only giving it a 4 just because when I was going into labor there was this nurse who kept insisting I have a c-section because I wasn't contracting, thankfully my nurse who was watching over me told her that I was, she was so kind and sweet. I didn't want a c-section and that nurse who was insisting really scared me! Mind you this was my first baby. Thank goodness I had a really good nurse or I would've been doomed!
Waaaaay too slow. It takes hours to get your discharge paperwork. Not a big deal, except you’re stuck with no food or drink because they got rid of the vending machines and still have their cafeteria closed down. Should I order delivery at this point? Still waiting - nearly 3 hours now.
This place extremely lacks empathy. They will leave you on hold for over 30 minutes and never answer you again . They act like you are bugging them when you are simply trying to find out the status of your loved one . Honestly so sad considering this is a hospital . This is no place for your loved one .
We would like to thank everyone who helped assist our grandmother on the 4th floor SNF during her stay.. Kindness was shown you can tell who genuinely love their job...May God continue to bless and protect you...F Jackson and Family
Surgery was great, the recovery floor overnight taught me one valuable lesson. My dog and cat are provided BETTER overnight post surgical care than I was. One nurse allowed me to make this review; does that imply it’s one nurse at fault, or systemic, I do not know, just know personally, I deserved better.
My arm was hurting and fell off but sent me home with a bag of ice 👩🏾

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
