Saved my life

02/2020Dr. Paykar is very unprofessional. If I could give a zero, I would. The ER gave me medication for an infection that I'm having an allergic reaction to. I followed up with him to change the antibiotic. I figured out why my blood pressure was high too, it's the infection. As soon as he found out that I'm not taking my hbp medication that he prescribed- he snapped. Told me we were on a different page and that I need to leave his office and find another doctor - I calmly replied, "I came to you for help, and you wont help me?" He looked away with frustration and told me to leave. I then told him of the research I did for better meds for my infection, oh boy did he get offended. I was trying to bring him to his senses but he let his ego get in the way and still refused. My health is at risk and he's playing childish games. The receptionist is nice & professional but Paykar is not. I will be contacting bbb as well. Did I mention that I'm a new patient? After he gave me new meds for hbp, he sets another appt for me 4 months later. Shouldn't it be earlier to see how its working?! Well, the dosage he gave me made me sick, I had to break it in half; he doesn't listen too good; I told him of my history with medication; my body doesn't handle high dosages well or even avg doses, but I trusted him because he made my first visit very comfortable. He never requested my medical history from my previous doctor in another state nor gave me my chest xray results. I'm very worried for my health now and extremely stressed; it's going to take a few weeks to find another doctor. In the meantime my infection can spread and my liver can get bigger, etc. 🙏🏽UPDATE: 08/25/2020A month ago, I was finally able to get another doctor; she's great and cares! I call her my angel. But in between my patient abandonment and now, my health has deteriorated tremendously. I went months without the proper healthcare due to patient abandonment, the type of insurance I have, being a new patient & covid19. What started as what seemed to be a pinched nerve in my groin area has spread to my entire body and I can barely walk upright now; it's very scary. My new doctor has assigned me to many specialists and she has managed to get me walking upright but it's still a daily struggle to get around and my liver is highly elevated now (I do not drink alcohol). This could've been prevented had i got the proper care in the beginning. This is scary but I am strong!

I like doctor Paykar, he is straightforward with diagnosis and very helpful. BUT during the past year it has become increasingly difficult to contact anyone in the office when I urgently need prescriptions or anything else. The office voice mail is full and there is no other way to contact anyone. This has become a serious problem lately when the office has made mistakes on prescriptions and I cannot contact them to get the problem corrected. I've been seeing the doctor for years but now I think I will have to find someone else that I can actually contact when necessary. Very unfortunate!

He was very rude & when my mom asked questions he was like “LISTEN LADY” very unprofessional and disrespectful.

Dr. Paykar and his staff are very cordial and friendly. Our first visit there was very positive, he was very attentive, caring, and knowledgable. The office was clean, warm, and welcoming. We waited a bit longer than expected. Office staff not organized.

Dr Paykar is a great doctor. Not going to tell you what you want to hear,but what you need to hear. TOUGH LOVE GREAT DOCTOR.
