De Silva Medical: Pamela De Silva, Md And's Online Review Report Card

I love this office so much. I've seen a handful of physicians over the years because we move around so much and this office is my favorite for so many reasons. The front desk ladies, Lina, Lisa, Chloe, and Corin, literally all of them, are so kind and courteous. These are the ones who have helped me but I'm sure the rest are just as upstanding. They never make me feel bad for asking questions or needing clarification. They also work so hard to meet so many people's needs that I've seen first hand from time waiting in the lobby and watching. Dr. DeSilva is incredibly empathetic and kind. She has never made me feel rushed or unheard. I have also seen NP May and she is the same. I recommend them to everyone.

I had a very disappointing experience with this office. Before sending my medical records, I called to ask if they were accepting new patients, and I was told they were. I promptly sent over all of my records as requested. After that, I never received a call back. I had to follow up myself, and a staff member named Lisa told me she would call me back. She never did. A week later, I called again, and Lisa asked if she could place me on hold. When she returned, she said their computer was acting up and that she would call me back once everything was sorted out. Once again, I never received a callback. The lack of communication and follow-through was very unprofessional. If the office wasn't able to take me as a patient, I would have appreciated an honest update instead of being repeatedly told to expect a callback that never came. This experience wasted my time, and I wish I had listened to the previous reviews warning about similar issues.

Dr. DeSilva is a super caring, professional, thorough, Doctor and my wife and I feel very lucky to have her. Her Nurse Practitioner, May Findlay, is also amazing and takes great care of us. We have been coming here for many years. Thank you.

Tried to schedule an appointment and the girl who answered the phone was super rude, not a positive way to start a relationship with patients, I wanted to go here because of patients review towards the doctor, but whomever is responsible to take new patients her approach is unacceptable. POOR ATTITUDE!

Unprofessional and incompetent front desk/staff, called in to see if Dr. Silva was accepting new patients and the lady "helping" me book the appt asked questions about insurance, my age, and my health history in the worse attitude ever, she made me feel ashamed for not seeing a PCP in a long time and stated "she didn't know what to do with this" and placed me on hold. She returned stating that the next available appt would be at the end of March and that she'll take my insurance info to verify if they accept my insurance and that it's MY responsibility to bring in any information from previous doctor visits regarding my health history because Dr. Silva doesn't see any new patients with existing health conditions. I have never dealt with such rude, incompetent, unprofessional staff.

Superb! Dr De Silva and her team are the best! Dr De Silva is truely caring, Personable and professional. Highly recommend.

Where do I start? This has got to be the worst medical office staff in the AV!! I haven't even been there a year & they have dropped the ball with every single visit!! Beginning with the first visit, that I waited 3 months for, I was not on their schedule!! Thankfully, one of the staff members remembered scheduling me, however, I waited 2 hours while they "worked me in". They have dropped the ball on prescriptions & lab orders EVERY SINGLE VISIT!! The most recent error was sending the wrong rx to the pharmacy, which cost me $100. Unacceptable the way they rush, assume & quick to give out the wrong info. Dr. DeSilva is wonderful, but once you leave the treatment room after talking with her, nothing gets done!! I've had to repeatedly ask for lab orders & rx's to be sent out. In addition, they failed to update orders in the system. How embarrassing that the Dr has to call the pharmacy to see what the last dosage was because her staff failed to update the chart. Complaints to management & Dr DeSilva were a total waste of time, nothing has improved, it just gets worse!! Moving on to where patient care matters & I'm taking my husband with me!

Love Dr Pam DeSilva and her wonderful team. I have been a patient of hers for a decade. She is very knowledgeable and caring. She has kept me in good health and it's very much appreciated.

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all! Not even to my worst enemy!!!! I had some tests done and they never got back to me, I called them many times and was told that they were going to call back to give me results, here we are 7 months later and still don’t have my results. I called them again, and the audacity of the person who talked to me telling me that because I no longer have insurance and can’t pay the visit the doctor can’t talk to me, because if she gives me my test results without an appointment then she can get in trouble. Really? Those tests are paid for, and I think I have the right to have a copy of the results even if I don’t see the doctor. I would give 0 stars, but not possible to do so. I also let all my friends who go there know about this, it seems we are all finding a new physician, someone who cares about their patients and is not just a business. You should be ashamed of yourself! The office manager was the only decent one, who tried to help, yet I still don’t have my tests. Their office staff is 100% incompetent! If you value your health, do not go to this business.
