John Kayvanfar's Online Review Report Card

If I could give 5 stars to the staff and zero to the Dr. I would. Not happy at all. I went in for a second opinion on a work comp injury. My visit included opinions about my diet, religion and politics. He also hurt the injured area for no reason. So much more I want to say about this visit. As soon as I got in my car I cried.

This was a horrible doctor. When I first when to him I thought he was a nice old sweet doctor. I had only been seeing him a month when he said are you going to get the operation on your thigh. I said I'm still thinking about it. What is their to think about? You need the operation it does not get better. I just found out 3 months ago I had arthritis in my knee and my hip. I wanted to think about it. Maybe he was right, it does not get better I still want a second opinion. He came right out and said DON'T COME BACK IF YOU DON'T GET THE OPERATION NOW. I need to sign you up now to do it. He said there's nothing to think about. I sit there outraged that he would say that. So I said let's start with the knee, he said NO. The knee was a outpatient procedure. NOT MUCH MONEY he wanted to do the one that was the most money for him. Keep in mind all his patients were elderly. I know you can scare the elderly easy. How many times has he done this to the elderly? The money, FILTHY LUCRE his GOD$$$

Dr. Kayvanfar is the best doctor I've EVER had! Unlike most doctors he doesn't push pills. I have severe arthritis pain and he gave me good sound nutritional advice and exercises to cure the problem not just mask the symptoms. I'm so happy that I was referred to him and am looking forward to being pain free and healthier! 💖

Incompetent fool. Refused to listen to my wife's issues, went on a big rant about how god, vitamin D, and sleep can fix a herniated disc. Has a paranoid issue with neurologists.This man is out of his mind, find a different doctor.

Doesn't listen to patients concerns, condescending, tries to get you to do x-rays and mri's that have already been done. Recommended physical therapy with 99% success and wasted a years time when all other surgeons said surgery should of been done right away. Stay away! Will waste your time and keep you in pain. If you get referred here ask to go elsewhere. Even his medical assistant had a look on her face with the way he was answering questions in a condescending way. Amazing he's still a doctor.

Dr. Kayvanfar lied to me, he had me take X-Rays that he didn't even look at for an injury I've been living with for 10+ years on my upper/rear right leg (hamstring) that I suffered while sprinting in a 50m dash. He said that he didn't find anything in the X-Ray results then proceeded to stick me with a needle of cortisone and novacaine under my right butt cheek, with out explaining why or before I even had time to ask questions about the shot. It all happened so fast, almost as if he didn't care about my case or didn't believe me about what I was feeling, I felt like he just wanted me out of his office so he could get to more "important" cases. Turned out that the shot he gave me made my symptoms 10x worse, I had so much pain and frustration that I decided to find a great doctor outside of my insurance no matter the price. When I did find a doctor, I scheduled an appointment right away. After telling this doctor all my symptoms and my experience, the first thing he asked to look at was the X-Rays that Dr. Kayvanfar took. With one look at the X-Rays he found a huge non cancerous bone tumor on my pelvic bone that occurred from a fracture that I suffered all those years ago. The bone tried to repair itself by growing uncontrollably. This overgrowth of bone is putting pressure on my sciatic nerve causing all the pain I feel and thanks to this doctor I have an appointment at USC medical center for surgery and it's covered by my insurance, This doctor told me that it's most likely that Dr. Kayvanfar didn't even look at the X-Rays because he would have seen this tumor immediately, and when I looked at the X-Rays I saw it clear as day, anyone could see it. I feel neglected and offended that Dr kayvanfar wasted my time and caused me even more pain with a shot that he should have never given me. This negligence by Dr. Kayvanfar is unacceptable.

Dr. John kayvanfar is a wonderful doctor and I love his nurses. My overall experience has been 5 stars. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you!

The doctor and his staff make you feel good and make the healing process feel better . I'm glad I came to them in my time of need for medical attention ....

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON THAT I HAVE HAD. AFTER BEING HIT BY AN SUV WHILE ON A BICYCLE AND ANOTHER TIME WALKING, HAVING REQUIRED A TOTAL OF 15 GENERAL ANESTHESIA SURGERIES, DR KAYVANFAR HAS BEEN A SURGEON THAT HELPED ME TO OVERCOME MY PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS.FOLLOWING HIS CARE, I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO MUCH MORE THAN PRIOR TO TREATMENT. A PEOPLE PERSON PHYSICIAN.
