Dr. Vial and his team performed a difficult open-heart surgery on me in a year ago in 2019 - beat the odds and these folks saved my life. I would place my life in their hands again if needed. Great music lover too.

Having the need to see a cardiothoracic surgeon for your personal well-being is daunting and flat out scary. What this doctor brings you is education, an understanding of what you are facing and a confidence that he can be the best person to solve the complex issue/s that you are faced with. He brings a swagger - positive attitude that helps challenge you to make the best of your situation and is your steadfast partner to the completion of your procedure. It's a trusted bond of experience, education, dedication to be the best at his profession and of personal confidence that stays with you! Bottom line is that I highly recommend Dr Conrad M. Vial should you need advise, council, a second opinion or the climatic need for Cardio surgeon!

Dr. Vial did a great job repairing my mitral valve at El Camino Hospital in May 2018. He came highly recommended by my cardiologist as one of the best cardiac surgeons, and a master of valve surgeries. He took all the time I wanted to answer my questions about the surgery in my first office visit at the Palo Alto Medical Clinic in Palo Alto, and seemed pleased, rather than offended, by all the research I did ahead--and all my questions. The surgery was a complete success, and, as promised, at age 72, I have more "horse power" post surgery. He is that rare combination of a superior surgeon with great technical skill, and a kind and empathetic doctor with the best bedside manner. He also, has a topnotch team, and I had a positive experience with everyone I encountered before and after my surgery.

Dr. Vial is probably the smartest person I have met in my life. He is supremely talented at what he does while also having wonderful empathy for his patients. He reconstructed my Mitral valve which was severely damaged and literally saved my life at 66. He has a very professional manner and will spend as much time with you as you need when you are facing a major surgery decision. A true gem of a human being.

Dr. Conrad Vial is an outstanding surgeon. I'm so grateful to have found him and would probably not be here without his skilled care and compassionate bedside manner. I was treated as though I was a member of his family. Every employee at the hospital, including the nurses, had nothing but great praises for Dr. Vial. His staff is also wonderful and responsive. The highest of ratings can not reflect Dr. Vial's genuine care and personal attention...he truly is "one of a kind."

Excellent surgeon. Mom was not keen on surgery after her heart attack even though she needed it and Dr. Vial was terrific in explaining the process and outcome. Surgery went well!

It was 4 years ago this weekend when Dr Vial, the PCVS team, and Sequoia Hospital staff put me back together after my ascending aortic dissection. They literally saved my life. I've been feeling great and enjoying all life has to offer since the surgery. At 53 years of age, I'm in better cardiovascular shape now than when I was 30 due to his very talented surgical skills. The whole surgical experience was professional - prepping me for the operation, the talent needed to pull it off such a complex procedure, and the amazing support of the hospital staff during my recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Vial.

This Doctor is incredible. He is deeply knowledgable, wonderfully personable, talented as a surgeon and very caring. His staff is outstanding. He will spend as much time with you as you need in order to answer all your questions. He really knows his stuff. If you need an excellent cardio-thorasic surgeon, this is your Go To guy.

Dr Conrad Vial is a great Cardiac Thoracic Surgeon with amazing attention to your care. When you visit him in the office it's like only 2 people exist. His attention and concern for your well being is like being taken care of by Family.
