Urologist/oncologist with great bedside manners! The perfect combination for patients with bladder cancer...he is knowledgeable and also understands the stress of what cancer patient is under. He takes his time (never rush to see the next patient) to explain & clarify all options u have.

The first time we met as he entered the room he was literally yelling as he entered, a "greeting" if you can call it that. Yelling what he knew from my referral, reason for seeing him. IT was strange to say the least. I like even keeled mellow easy goin docs. I was having kidney pain, immediately ordered a CT to check for stones ... He called left no message on a Fri. late about the result then ignored my messagees to him Saturday and Monday. I dropped him like a hot rock on Tuesday. Apparently the insanity of the Chinese nation now is a reaction to the "century of humiliation" as the Chinese think of it regarding historic events of the previous century. I gather some odd behaviors like this are compensation, meant to offset humiliation with assertion.

Dr. Yao is one of the best doctors I have ever seen and experienced.I have been in the medical field for over 40 years.I have also worked in the top prestigious teaching hospitals for almost all my life.Those top university hospitals including UCLA, Standford, National Taiwan University hospital, -----etc.Dr. Yao is a very excellent and outstanding doctor in his expertise and robotic surgical field.Plus, he has a beautiful and angel heart.He is wonderful on medical skills, he has profound knowledge , and, most importantly, he has a caring heart.Caring for the needed patients.Dr. Yao spent quality and quantity of time on his patients.Dr. Yao, is definitely above and beyond.You, will never feel dissapointed on him.

I've been a patient of Dr. Yao for six years and I can't think of a doctor more caring and rich in bedside manners. He's an excellent physician!

I have a long standing urethral stricture that has been treated since I was a child by dilation with urethral sounds. Dr. Yao took it upon himself to "cure" this at the patient age of 53. Without consultation with another urologist and contrary to patient concerns, when Yao he found he had erred through his arrogance he didn't open the urethra but instead inserted a catheter through the abdomen directly into my bladder. This can't now be reversed. Thanks Jerk.

Difficult to describe when everything goes perfectly. The man has excellent bed-side manners, a great and positive attitude, he doesn't look at his watch when you're talking to him, and obviously his skills as a surgeon speak for themselves.
