List of Diana P. Blum's Reviews
I had a great experience with Dr Blum. I was being treated at Stanford neurology in 2011, but their team could not figure out what was wrong with me. I was then referred to Dr. Diane Bloom who after my first visit, viewing all my labs, scans and symptoms diagnosed me with hemiplegic migraines. At that time, I was unable to function because I had these symptoms for 2 months before she diagnosed me. My symptoms were: - weakness on the right side of my body (face, arm, and leg. - numbness and tingling in the right side of my body. - flashes of light, and other vision issues - trouble speaking or slurred speech - Memory and concentration issues - drowsiness. - dizziness. I literally could not walk by myself. I did not have a headache, but she was so a head of the other neurologists (Stanford) I had seen in the past. She literally saved my life and my sisters too. I was called saying my sister had a stroke, when I arrived at Kaiser Santa Teresa, they told my fami
I'm writing this on behalf of my father. Dr. Blum treated him for Parkinson's for several years until he died last fall. She is wonderful, kind, and caring, and explains things well. She was a huge advance over every other doctor he had been to–able to make big changes with small adjustments to his medication. She's also extremely responsive. Whenever we contacted her she would respond within the hour, if not minutes. and was always positive and hopeful. She's just a terrific doctor.
Dr. Blum has been my neurologist for a year. She is thorough, smart, and up on all the latest research, but more importantly, she takes the time to explain everything to me, answers all my questions, responds promptly to my emails, and is a real partner in my care. I feel like I am in excellent hands with her and recommend her highly!
Had initial visit for 30 minutes tops with a non-emergent symptom. It was a simple checkin to transfer my care due to a job relocation. I was charged $661.00. When I objected to the to billing code (60 minutes with emergent condition) the response was to disregard my request. I was stunned and changed doctors immediately.

Prescribed me meds for my migraines that made me gain 5lbs, without warning of the symptoms. Once I mentioned it, she said she will prescribe me another kind of migraine meds that will do the opposite if I don't lose the weight within 2 weeks. I started eating less, worked out 3 times a week and still was stuck with the 5 extra lbs that bother me a LOT. I contacted her, telling her that I was not losing a single lb after all the eating less and working out and that I should probably go on those meds instead. What does she say? She says she changed her mind and that she will not prescribe me the MIGRAINE medication to a MIGRAINE patient, because they will make me lose weight. She said to "wait two more weeks and re-evaluate." Meanwhile, I have to starve to get back my weight, because SHE forgot to mention the weight gain side-effect of the previous medication! Whatever she says during the appointment changes as soon as you leave the room. Don't bother thinking she will keep her word!
excellent
Poor bedside manner, very efficient and knows her stuff but was always in and out or answering phone calls, didn't feel I was the focus of her attention and she certainly had not read anything about me before meeting me. Didn't go back to find out what her disgnosis was. Found another Doctor

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
