List of Evelyn Khoo's Reviews
Very professional, direct, honest and knowledgeable! We also enjoy her sense of humor and her willingness to investigate further when simple tests don't provide answers. Recommend highly!
Extremely disappointed by the level of care I have received at Sutter health. I have attempted numerous times to reach their customer service but all I have been given is the billing office's phone number. Post COVID all they care about is making $$$ and less so patients care
I have been going to her for several years and it was fine, until now... I was experiencing shoulder pain and on my last physical I mentioned to her. She offered to send me some YouTube videos and if it still bothered me, she would refer me to get some PT. I emailed her and asked to get a PT referral and let her know that I never received the YouTube video she told me she would send, she responds back to me by telling me that my last visit was not an "official assessment". That's understandable and that's ALL that she needed to say and she should've stopped there. BUT she proceeds and starts insulting me and telling me to find my own YouTube video and tells me I'm "not self-sufficient" and that "she doesn't condone dependency"! Well, of course I know how to use YouTube, but she was the one who volunteered and offered to send me some videos, so naturally I was given the impression that she had a specific one in mind especially since she assessed my shoulder movements! I'm not the medical professional here, she is supposed to be.Needless to say, I'm changing PCP and will find someone who's professional and has good bedside manners.
Very proffesional, friendly and takes time to listen on my concerns. I highly recommend her.
My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Khoo for over 4 years now and have really enjoyed working with her to improve our health. She has great suggestions and always willing to answer our questions and emails quickly. I would highly recommend her!
Dr Evelyn Khoo is great! I highly recommend her, she took her time to answer all my questions. And i do have a lot of questions :)
I felt rush during the annual check up. She didn't ask questions or anything. In the end, she also didn't prescribed blood work. My previous primary physician would always do blood work during the annual check up to make sure everything is good. When I was leaving, I walked past her office and found that she rushing back to her computer. As a patient, I felt I just got ripped off.
I started to see Dr. Khoo a few years ago. The previous PCP in San Francisco never cared about my health. They were too busy taking as many patients as they could. The previous doctor always referred me to specialists for everything. I had to go to different doctors for my migraines, diabetes, and etc. My first visit to Dr. Khoo, she did physical. My previous doctor never did for 10 years. And she told me that she can give me all of my meds. I only see Dr. Khoo now for all my needs. She is a very busy doctor and her appointments are booked a few weeks in advanced. But if I need to see her sooner, I contact her via app and she always squeezes me in. I highly recommend her!!
Conceited, arrogant, and dismissive. Not a competent doctor. Is not thorough and makes excuses.Do not go to Doctor Khoo. The staff is also incompetent.Wait time is three hours. The staff continually lies.
It's somewhat unfair that Dr. Khoo works under Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) because the service at PAMF really doesn't deserve anything over 2.5 stars. But it's kinda difficult to review one doctor out of an entire hospital service experience. But again, an entire hospital does not reflect one doctor's service and vice versa.Dr. Khoo is a petite Asian lady - nice and soft-spoken. She was very quick with the routine exam so she's probably done it millions of times so she knows what she's doing. And she's probably also a busy woman with many patients - I mentioned a concern when visiting her but she didn't really ask me what my concerns were or anything else about my concerns. She was pretty much there to provide answers and solutions, which is what happened. Her nurse/medical assistant, Jessica, was very informative and quick with her work as well. She brings you into the clinic, preps everything for the doctor to see you for your appointment, and takes care of any follow-up stuff afterwards. In a follow-up call, she went through everything clearly with me and she pretty much had to correct the miscommunications that the other PAMF employees had relayed. The only thing is - by the end of my appointment, I was told that I needed to schedule some follow-up appointments to wrap up my exams and get my vaccines but I was given little guidance to how I should proceed about it. As a young adult that's trying to learn how to adult, a little more guidance seems appropriate and would've been much appreciated but now I know, if I have questions, I should make it known.Tip: you do have easy online access to My Health Online AFTER your first appointment to schedule appointments and speak with your health professional team BUT, at least for scheduling appointments, I would suggest a phone call and a 2-minute wait time instead. And NOW, I will go into my thoughts about the rest of PAMF because I'm not sure which PAMF Yelp page to review them in.Firstly, the process of booking an appointment as a first-time patient was wonderful! 5 stars for these ladies for sure. They were quick about getting my insurance information and booking an appointment, gracious about my sudden cancellation, and rescheduling twice due to my absent-mindedness.But then the day of the appointment came around and it was slightly disappointing when the ladies on the phone set the bar so high. I arrived to the 4th floor where the Family Medicine clinics are located. There were two ladies sitting at the front desk but neither of them looked up when I approached the front of the line for help. When one of them finally decided to help, she didn't even look at me so I could only assume she was talking to me when she asked if there was anything she could help with - RUDE.And this is just a personal thing but I don't think it's professional to complain about other employees' work ethics when clients/patients are within earshot...

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
