List of Haya Rubin's Reviews
I highly DO NOT recommend this 'Dr.' To say any more might invite more legal troubles than I need.It is very odd that this Dr. can only be reached via text (????). Even during an emergency situation, her response time is chronically unacceptable. Example: A concierge patient calls for this Dr. intending to request critical medical guidance during an emergency. No response for several hours...long after the patient took themselves to emergency, then back home. She (Dr. Rubin) has NO OFFICE, no staff (that I know of) and has an especially lax form of record keeping. She has a P.O. Box and the same place is also her facsimile destination. I only have questions, unfortunately, such as 'why so shy?'.
Phone books are much more accurate than the net for physician listings!
We had the pleasure of meeting and being a patient of Dr. Haya Rubin. She is a friendly, concerned, professional and thoughtful doctor. We unfortunately lost her to her old town but we hope she comes back to Atascadero again someday. We miss her terribly!
I had a very nice meeting with D. Haya Rubin. I was responsive to her comments and recommendations. The cell phone rang a number of times during our session and she took the calls rather than hand them off to her assistant. On the positive side, she was trying to be responsive to her patients. Had the cell phone not interrupted our session several times, my rating would have been a 5 star rating. She was recommended to me by my gasto doctor. Her soothing demeanor is very welcome. No attempt to get me in an out in 15 minutes. The upfront fee was mentioned to me on the phone. I am sympathetic to the plight of teachers and doctors where there have been cutbacks in reimbursement and supplies. Teachers were doing fund raisers and getting donations for some basic materials. I also know a number of doctors have dropped insurance entirely. I would just as soon have her take insurance, and charge the upfront fee. What the insurance company pays to my son's pediatrician is slightly over medicaid numbers but shockingly low especially given the rates in the bay area and the high cost of living. BTW, the charge from Dr. Rubin is an "annual charge" and not a one-timecharge for an entire lifetime of care.
This practice is ridiculous, and the staff are overboard rude. I was never a patient of Dr. Rubin, but she briefly shared a practice with my primary physician. That ended badly, so my doctor moved. At the time of the split, I received a letter inviting me to the practice; I obviously ignored it. Yet somehow, they kept my file even though I was never her patient, and refused to hand it over. I only realized that they kept the file when I wanted a copy of my most recent TB test, which is necessary when I volunteer at my child's school. I am in my 40's, and there is substantial medical history. They now refuse to even look and see if they have my file, and claim that it is my Dr's office that lost it. The receptionist hung up on me. I also learned that this happened to other patient records: they are holding them hostage, and they are not even a product of their work. Whatever Dr. Rubin's qualities as a diagnostician may be, her business policies in practice are fraudulent, and constitute a theft of medical records that she has no right to hold.
Dr Rubin is a great diagnostician. I was having all kinds of weird symptoms, my blood chemistry was off, I wasn't sleeping well, and I felt horrible. Within 6 months of following her advice, I feel a lot better, my bones don't ache, and my blood chemistry is perfect. She takes the time to listen and properly diagnose/ treat illness. If our insurance industry was doing the right thing for doctors, Dr Rubin wouldn't have to request an additional fee to patients. The minor annual fee she charges is reasonable considering the amount of paperwork to process insurance for reimbursement. I recommend Dr Rubin to anyone who is serious about getting well and making life style changes to stay well..
I think Ankur J. was primarily making a point about fee disclosure prior to 1st visit and less about its value.
Dr Rubin shows exceptional knowledge to best treat me. I would pay triple her annual fee, as she is so worth it. She is not like a "factory-line doctor" that rushes you, as she takes time to listen and provide in depth explanations and best alternatives to treat my condition.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
