Dr. Michelle is a great doctor. She takes her time with the patients and is very kind and considerate and a good listener. I had gone to two doctors who are gastroenterologists in South County. They both saw me and I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy with them. They could find nothing wrong and sent me a post card saying I did not have cancer. However one of them told me to try meditation to ease my adominal pain. I eventually ended up seeing Dr. Michelle and she prescribed two first generation anti spasmodic meds . That seemed to help and my abdominal pain went away. I couldn't believe it that the meds worked so fast! I gained back my weight that I had lost(went from 165 to 140 and then back up to 165). She ultimately diagnosed me with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. I modified my diet and I have been basically okay since I saw her. Thank you Dr, Michelle.

Dr. Nyugen is an outstanding, brilliant physician and diagnostician, who is an excellent listener and asks insightful questions. I really like her nuanced approach and appreciate how she collaborates with me, the patient, regarding my care. She engages and dialogues, explaining options, possibilities, and laying out one or more plans of action for my ultimate health. I can't tell you how pleased and, yes, happy I am to finally have a specialist of her caliber taking care of my GI needs. It was a great referral. The office support personnel, both front and back, are efficient, accommodating and pleasant. Professional yet personal, I very highly recommend Dr. Michelle Nyugen, board-certified gastroenterologist. I think she's the best - for real!

Dr. Nguyen is an excellent person and an even better person. She has a very calming persona and the patients and staff pick up on that. Her skills are excellent and parients are happy with her service when complete. I would trust her to do my families colonoscopy.
