Patient signed a digital release. Does that mean.....no responsibility?There was blood spewing out. Doesn't that mean STOP. Unfortunatelyshe trusted her female doctor. Six months later there is pain and sharp nerve shooting pain to various areas. The injection was for the hip. It clearly shows in the photo two injection sites. However the Buttocks Quads are painful when sitting, sleeping and walking? No treatment has been done yet 6 months later. Her provider said that she couldn't use the community care because she was rude to them? The internal physical therapy department at Poly trauma is for brain injuries yet this is the department assigned to this Veteran? There were multiple repercussions during the 6 months. For example (+70yr old) Veteran had a bad case of the flu so drinking lots of fluids meant more toilet breaks meant using hand rail to get up because of painful buttocks. So nerve muscle strain occurred on left triceps and trapezius and upper mid back. The provider doctor delayed treatment for this issue for so long the patient invested in a Homedics massage and after 3 mos pain reseeded on its own. Not so lucky with the Cortisone injection site. ....so painful get aggravated walking and.........sitting ! Because the Veteran is active and independent has to walk regardless of this issue and is overcompensating causing low back and sacroiliac pain something the Physical Medicine doctor should have considered when she injected the buttocks.

Fantastic! I just spent 4 days here with a serious case of pneumonia, the care was first class, the doctors and nurses were very professional and showed they cared deeply for their patients. The food, well it's hospital food what can I say, I ate it and lived!

What a joke. Took my dad there to get catheter fixed. The nurse Tess was nice. However, the CNA who wheeled my dad out to the loop told him to*Hold onto the top of my open car door as he got up from the wheel chair (didn't bother asking, "Is it ok if this big 6'5" big guy holds onto your vulnerable open door as he gets up.) I shut down his idea quickly regardless. *He puts my dad in. Then he shuffles my dad's catheter bag next to my dad's feet. It was LEAKING PEE!!! He walks away! I was tired at this point after waiting at ER and having driven at midnite from the East Bay 50 minutes away. I let it go and just cleaned my car floor after dropping off my dad after another 50 minute drive home. I found out who Enero's boss was and when I emailed Tiffany Chan TWICE about the lack of care, she NEVER returned the emails! More stupidity: Dr. Korean guessed that my dad had an infection. She said it was a maybe. Gave him antibiotics ("just in case")Two weeks later, we returned and Dr. David (I call him "Cowboy") was pretty loud, obnoxious and limited in his knowledge. He kept pushing his one way, and was not flexible enough to see more than one way. Not humble/got triggered when I said I had a friend who is a trauma nurse at ER who's had success with 2 types of medicines for her Dad and Grandpa. When I said "Can we use medicine AND the catheter," he said we could get the medicine from his primary doctor. He's sticking with catheter only. Hey Dr. Cowboy David, aren't YOU a doctor?!" Two more weeks later, my dad had an infection. Took this Veteran to John Muir. They drained his bladder, treated him for infection. Very thorough. Professional GO ELSEWHERE. The is vague with their benefits (on purpose?) You get better care anyway.

As a veteran, they have caused a great deal of harm to me over almost 2 decades. They system is bloated and slow. I live in a rural area and medications are constantly late. The turn over rate is abysmal (for good reason). They are doing more harm than good (just look at suicide rates)

October 10 2022 is Indigenous Peoples Day. Will the VAPA Hospital have any information and awareness available for the people from their original area and Veterans' inpatients and clinical patients and visitors?

We have been in the ER for almost 5 hours. This is unacceptable. How is it that a hospital this big has an ER this small? How is it that X-rays are read by people in Stanford? To add to this ridiculously long wait, during the day there are several people posted at the entrance. There are usually 2-3, sometimes 4 people at these posts. Tonight there was one person. Why is masking still required if the President said that the pandemic is over? There is a lot that needs to be fixed with this place.

Horrible communication. Community Care doesn't seem to talk to their own departments nor read previous emails prior to calling. Patient Advocates don't return phone messages and are impossible to contact.
