Peter Maguire's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Maguire spent time with me to answer all my questions about allergies and autoimmune disorders.  I truly appreciate how much better informed and educated I was after seeing him.

I called before I went in for my first time visit, and schedule my appointment for an allergy test. No problem. Then, I went in for my appointment and the doctor asks what I think am allergic to, and I tell him beans of various kinds. He tells me they dont have many beans, and that I have to go to the store and get some, and come back 4 hours later. WHAT? Why couldnt you tell me this on the phone? Whatever. Ok, so I went and got the samples that I needed. I brought them back, and the nurse started to take the samples of beans I had brought in a ziplock bag. She asks me the name of each bean and writes them down on a piece of paper. I was wondering how accurate this was, because some of the beans looked very similar, and I thought she should have labeled each one, but I didnt say anything.Whatever.She performs the test, and 15 minutes later, in walks mr doctor with his clipboard. Ok, so looks like we ran out of pinto bean test. Sorry about that.......WHAT? You mean I went out and bought samples of each bean, wasted 4 hours of my time waiting for you, and now you tell me you ran out of the most important bean in the sample? Wow. I was not happy. They showed me the results of the other beans, and sent me home with the paper. I tried to argue with the billing department that I did not want to pay because they did not perform the full test, but they kept calling me and not retaining any information I gave them. It was like talking to a robot where every response was You owe us money and eventually they sent it to a debt collector. This doctor is a selfish egotistical quack and his billing department suits him very well.

ever since they changed the walkin allergy shot system to appointment only, it's hard to schedule time that works for both PAMF and myself. Please bring back walkin based system?! thanks!

I highly recommend Dr. Peter Maguire. With his calm & honest demeanor, he clearly and patiently explained allergies and the process of immunotherapy. He really understood my personal case and I felt as if he genuinely cared about helping me feel better. As our appointment ended, he repeatedly said, "please feel free to email or call me anytime if you have questions" and he said it with sincerity.Dr. Maguire is an excellent Allergist with a fabulous bedside manor. A great doctor for children and adults.

Gosh I wish they had more stars to give than this 5.Honestly, hands down. BEST healthcare service Ive EVER had... And I work in health care!Went to urgent care twice at PAMF for hives that were getting out of control. Next day my hives were back so I called the allergyimmunology department at PAMF to see if they could squeeze me in. Well they totally did and I was seen early!Dr. Maguire not only spent the time to listen to ALL my concerns but spent the time to explain EVERYTHING. Ive never had such a great doctor like this before.His bed side manners are above and beyond, he is super friendly, super approachable and super knowledgable.If I could only have him be my PCP I would be a happy camper.I would gladly and happily recommend him to EVERYONE!!!!!

He is  skillful physician and amazingly compassionate person. I highly recommend him to anyone who need a good pulmonologist. He changed my life when he changes my regiment. He is not one of those doctors who just sends patients to have multitude  of tests . He has rare skill of actually listening and examining a human being in front of him.

I have been suffering with eczema all over my body for over a year and a half and have been miserable. In that time I have seen 2 allergists, 7 dermatologists, a chinese medicine doctor, and a naturopath. Ive had allergy tests, patch testing, used antihistamines, and steroid creams, acupuncture, taken herbs, etc. None of these really seemed to work and I did not feel I really had a solution to my problem. Dr. Maguire was the first doctor to really pin point what I needed to do to get rid of the eczema. Dr. Maguire spent about 50 minutes with me and for every question I asked he had a literaturedocumented response which convinced me he is very knowledgable about allergy condition and eczema. I was so grateful for having finally found a great doctor who could help me. I also like going to PAMF as they are very prompt, I never have to wait long, and I dont have to deal with my copay, as they just send me a bill after they get the payment from the insurance company.
