List of Seth Hollander's Reviews
I am providing review of just Dr Hollander. He was outstanding, he took the time to ask me a series of questions to really understand what I was experiencing, took time to understand my history, my test results from another clinic, reviewed pictures I had taken and in the end, was very open/transparent in his diagnosis and recommendations. I fully expected that I would need to go through a series of skin test and then gets weekly allergy shots, but in the end, his professional opinion was that I did not need that, and he would instead have me utilized OTC products, avoid one specific food based on my history and if my condition returned, to then revisit it... VERY refreshing...
CRUEL AND TRAUMATIC level of service by nurses administering injections to children!!! I would like to warn everyone to stay away from this location of Greater Austin Allergy. We had been going to the location in Southwest Parkway and received a high level of caring and professional service for my 8 year old daughter from the nurses and doctors at this site. The nurses who gave her immunotherapy at SW Pkwy are kind and treated her with the loving attention every child who has to endure weekly shots deserves. However, it is a 15 mile commute each way. So I was so happy to hear that Austin Allergy had a location only 2 miles from my home in Bee Cave. Unfortunately after several appallingly unprofessional experiences with both of the Bee Cave nurses, I decided it was worth the long drive as the cruel and heartless nurses administering her injections in Bee Cave were beyond belief. I think they must have gotten their training at a low-level prison or penitentiary as they never greeted us or smiled at my daughter and would just grab her arm and inject her without making any eye contact. They made no effort to make her feel welcome or at ease as she endured the agony of getting multiple injections in each arm weekly. The front office staff was also very rude and uncaring. We would be made to wait 15-20 minutes while the nurses just sat around in the back office (clearly visible from the lobby) playing games on their cell phones. I mentioned these incidents to them and each nurse they assigned was worse than the previous. They made my daughter feel extremely uncomfortable, scared and she was actually getting traumatized by their rude and inconsiderate behavior. She begged me to take her back to the SW parkway location which I did. I can't believe Austin Allergy would allow such unprofessional and cruel staff like this to operate on their premises. I sent numerous emails to office manager Jennifer and never received a response. Unless you want your children traumatized as they undergo immunotherapy, I would stay far away from the Bee Cave office.
I love Dr. . Hollander He came into to room and verbalized our last visit and what was happening with my mild asthma. He remembered. He was impressive. I would recommended him to anyone. For kids, would recommend Schultz for kids as he has a pediatric specialty but even adults do well. Greater Austin is the best group.
I can not recommend this Dr. Hollander because of the way I have been treated by his office after years of being a patient. I have asthma, and have seen him for several years, including extensive testing and the whole list of asthma medications. Then last year, while my wife and I were traveling after retirement I called to get a prescription renewal, and they declined it and said I needed to come in. It had been only one year, and a week or two since the last annual visit, but even though it was just a week or so overdue, they would not refill. I explained that my wife and I were in New Hampshire watching a friends home who was off at a family emergency, still I was totally stonewalled, no help, no compassion for my situation. I resorted to going to urgent care clinics for medication until we returned later that year and could make an annual visit. Then, this year I called for a prescription renewal WITHIN the one year time frame, and was told no "because we want to see you", I was just asking for the same medication I have been on all year. I explained that we were still traveling and it was within a year of my last visit. STILL . . . . NO. I had to tell them that there would be no point in me returning to see a doctor who could not fulfill what they said they would do, and that I was going to find a new doctor. Therefore I can NOT recommended this doctor or this office to anyone who has a serious respiratory disease such as asthma, who expects quality care from compassionate professionals.
I have had Asthma since I was 5 years old. I have taken Allergy shots off and on for years but unable to increase dosage due to swelling and extremely bad reactions.Dr Hollander has done an Excellent job of getting my Asthma under control and I am very optimistic that my health will continue to improve under his care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
