This is a great place! Dr. Canales is friendly and very informative. He went through what he could do for me and why some approaches are better than others. I had all my questions answered. Unfortunately I had a change in personal circumstances that forced me to cancel the scheduled procedure less than 2 weeks before the date. The staff and doctor were very understanding and kind, and they even refunded the deposit I had put down, which I did not expect. All around I'm very impressed with Silicon Valley Hair Institute and will definitely go back to them when my circumstances (hopefully) change.

Dr. Canales is unbelievable! He really changed my life and made me look longer with healthier and fuller hair. He is a skilled surgeon and very personable. He made the procedure easy and comfortable. I have had so many positive comments since having the procedure done. I highly recommend him and know you will be pleased with the results.

It's been a little over a year since I had a hair restoration with Dr Canales. The results are amazing. The new grafts are all stable and I like the way they look, very homogeneous, uniform and natural look. The surgery itself was rather convenient with great service and really respectful staff. Also all the instructions after the surgery were clear and straightforward to follow. Within 4 months I could see some results and after 6 months I started seeing a completely different look.

I did the FUE procedure with 3500 hairs and it was great. I saw many doctors before and Dr. Canales was the only one that really sat down looked at my hair all the way down to the follicles to give me the best recommendation. The procedure was a whole day but it was definitely worth it. Now one year after my surgery I'm so happy that I did it. Was worth every penny!!

I had the FUT procedure in 2022 with Dr Canales and I could not be more pleased. From the original intake/assessment, his perfect guidance and recommended approach, down to the day of the procedure, everything was first class. The day of the procedure I was treated with tremendous care, was communicated to throughout the process and the whole team made me feel very confident and comfortable. Post procedure, Dr Canales shared his cell phone number, communicated w/ me consistently and answered every question I had for days and weeks almost instantly at various times through the day and night. All of the post-op procedures were spot on, and if you follow Dr Canales' instruction, I'm fully confident that you will have a very positive experience as I did. I opted for the PRP procedures after my surgery through the next several months, and Laurent was equally knowledgeable, skilled and always makes sure my experience is positive and productive. I lamented over doing this for many years and I could not be more pleased with my experience and the ultimate outcome. I'm 6-7 months in and am delighted with my results thus far. I can't recommend Dr Canales and his team enough!

Terrible place only interested in your money. Will sell you a graph first, then tell you you have to take a bunch of drugs and come for shots every month to keep your hair. But they won't tell you that up front. Also, won't tell you side effects of drugs. Dr actually told me the drug was good at preventing prostate cancer in addition to growing hair but come to find out from the pharmacist that it can cause severe prostate cancer. Fun. I am a retired dentist, age 71 and have had many hair transplant procedures going as far back as the 1990's. I have seen it all. I stopped having procedures about 30 years ago after being told " I had no more donor hair to use'. But, about a year ago a younger friend of mine went to Dr. Canales. He was fairly bald on top. He had one single session with Dr. Canales and when his hair grew in I was astonished at how full and natural it looked. I have seen MANY transplants over the years and can almost always 'spot' them. Not so in this case, it looked superb and natural even under close inspection. I decided to have a facetime consultation with Dr. Canales as I live in So Cal, and he said technology had progressed a lot and that he felt he could harvest another 1,000-2,000 grafts and soften my hairline and fill in some thinning areas. I booked an appointment and am now 3 days 'post op'. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Canales, and his wife and staff. Being a retired dentist I am picky about office procedures, sterilization etc. The staff was delightful, the office was clean and procedures were smooth. Dr. Canales really listened to what my goals were. He was able to harvest 1,800 grafts and my procedure was so smooth and so comfortable that I SLEPT THROUGH THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE!!. There was ZERO pain, I never even used a single pain pill they gave me. I have followed their post op instructions and after 3 days swelling is very minimal compared to what I experienced in the past. I can already tell, from past experience, the results will be as superb as those my friend experienced. Very very please with every aspect of this experience, and to top it off, compared to what I had paid in the past, the price was extremely fair. Thank you!

Dr. Canales, his wife - who is also a doctor, and their entire staff was fantastic. Received +3000 graphs. Now I don't know the results yet- but confident the procedure will turn out great. They have a well oiled machine, their attention to detail, and their pleasant energy/ disposition was very much appreciated. I arrived at 530am and left at 4pm. They worked hard (3 people implanting the follicles at the same time- slowly and precisely. They earned every dollar on their feet working hard! Couldn't be more thrilled - highly recommend.

Short version: Full of liars & money takers!!! Save yourselves the time and money!! Seriously the main doc is manipulative and will steal from you! Long version: I am a women that started loosing hair at 15 but I came to this place at 19. Was told there was a procedure done that using a tatto gun to inject substances that stimulate hair growth. It was 8 sessions and 1k each. They were suppose to be 1 hr per session. After the 3rd session, I noticed it was only 30 min sessions and the 5th, 6th, and 7th were 20 minutes and the 8th session was 15 minutes. During one of these sessions, the doc even called me the wrong name?? Like didn't u look at my file before coming in? AND why the hell is the wait time in the waiting room before each session like 30-45 minutes if I have an appt? Like how does that happen EVERY session? These people DO NOT plan ahead nor respect your time. Anyways, I was promised 8 sessions 1 hour each. I paid for that. I was promised results for hair to grow back (I have bald spots). But no results. I got ghosted after that, meaning I was denied to be seen again after the 8th session and was told to just call at a different time. I eventually gave up. 2 years later when I got a scalp biopsy, the medical doctor wanted to know any and all past treatments. I explained the one done here and the doctor had no idea what it was called or if that even existed. When I called this place to ask, they kept dodging my calls and emails until I called off my sister's phone. They didnt give me an answer of what it is called and when I asked for my patient documents/notes to be sent to me, they sent me scribbles. At that point, I was older and wiser and realized I got scamed. They choose me since I was so young and didnt know anything except that I was driven by emotion. Dont go here. This is your sign to save yourself!
