Vijan Joshi's Online Review Report Card

Real patient here of almost two years. I honestly have no idea what that one negative reviewer was even talking about. Everything he said about Dr. Joshi made no sense at all. He is the least pompous doctor Ive ever had. He also listens more and is more thorough than any GP Ive ever had. Plus, they never rush anyone or push anyone off for another appointment because appointment times with One Medical are guaranteed. They start on time, every time and they end precisely on time. Ive had dozens of appointments and that has always been true. So if that person felt rushed, they probably didnt book a long enough appointment time to address their concerns. (There are three lengths of appointment times available.)Anyway... My experience with Dr. Vijan Joshi at One Medical Palo Alto has been nothing but absolutely positive. He really does care and listen. He will investigate and go to bat on your behalf with specialists. If he doesnt know what is going on he will do his best to find you someone who can figure it out. He gives referrals when needed without making a hassle out of it and he communicates with your other doctors constantly. Plus, he is just kind, nice, patient, and all around a good guy.Dr. Joshi never fails to answer via the online app, even when you drive him nuts with questions and way too much information. He wont make you come in for excess appointments if he can help you through the app. But he always has appointments available pretty quickly if you need to go in. Hes honestly the BEST GP Ive ever had in 20 years and Ive had a lot because Ive moved all over the place.I want to applaud Dr. Joshi in particular for having grace, patience, and positivity while dealing with someone with severe chronic illness and pain. Hes been an absolutely terrific support system and he never just dismisses your concerns or your questions because you dont fit in an easy box like a lot of doctors do.A++++++

I just moved to the west coast a few weeks ago from Chicago and Ive only had my initial visit, but he was extremely personably and friendly.  Easy to talk to and seemed to hold no bias/judgments when I was giving him my full background, which is always hard to go into.  I greatly appreciate the thought and intention of his questions as well.  Im looking forward to getting to know him better.

As those who may know, I usually dont write Yelp reviews but in this case I had to because Dr. Vijan Joshi, MD is one I highly recommend. I was suffering from a pretty bad flu over the weekend and I was not feeling much better. This was my first visit with One Medical Group and Dr. Joshi and I cant say enough good things. I was given a same day appointment, when I arrived, I did not wait for more than 23 minutes in the waiting room before the Dr. Joshi himself met me in the waiting room and personally brought me back to the exam room. He was very thorough in his questioning of my symptoms, past history as well as a very thorough exam. He explained his diagnosis to me, his recommendations and then explained why he was prescribing the meds he did and what they were going to be helping me out with. Dr. Joshi is a very smart and caring Doctor. He also has a great calming bedside manner. What I liked the most is that I did not feel rushed with my appointment and that I could freely ask him questions on my symptoms. Thanks Dr. Joshi,

I think Vijan is very personable and competent, always willing to listen and spend extra time with you if necessary.  He is very intelligent and through and has always put me at ease despite feeling uncomfortable sharing concerns or issues.  I would recommend Dr. Joshi and the entire Medical One Practice in Palo Alto has been supportive, friendly, and efficient.  It also helps that hes a Green Bay Packer Fan :)

Dr. Vijan Joshi was very pompous for a young doctor. I guess I was not up to his standards as a patient since I was was not wearing a suit and tie. I dont feel the he was very complete with his exam and didnt care to listen just trying to rush me off pushing for another appointment.His attitude almost turned me off to the whole One medical group, but I had gave them a second chance and found that they have some wonderful doctors among the staff all the ladys at the front desk were very friendly and helpful so dont let this one bad apple turn you off to the One medical group
