William Brubaker's Online Review Report Card

Very arrogant doctor who does not listen to what you are telling him. Does not even look at your file before giving you a medication that does not work. He has a tendency to get overly emotional and not listen to what you are telling him. Stay away from this doctor. PAMF has a lot of good doctors and I have been with them for many years, not sure where he is coming from.Beside not being a good doctor he also needs to work on his bedside manners. I saw him for a prostate issues a while ago, he gave me a medicatoin for bladder issues which made things worse. I saw another doctor after a few months and he did a PSA test that showed that the PSA was elevated. The second doctor told me that I need an MRI and biopsy. I had a biopsy done and thankfully it was not cancer. Glad i saw the second doctor. If I had cancer and listened to this guy, I don't really know what would have happened. Any ways since my doctor was not avialalbe and i was having an emergency i went to see him again. This tiIme around he is very rude, he only looks at the emails that I have send my doctor and tells me I can either insert a cathetor or show you how to do it or you will have surgery. I told him that i can not have surgery right now ( my father is in last stages of his life). He says i give you a medication and will see if it works. He gave me a medication that exceeds its effective dosage. I wrote him an email explaining to him that in both instances he has made a mistake. he wrote back very errogantly " if you don't like it you can go back to the doctor that you have orignally seen! combination of bad decision making and a big ego is not a good thing for a doctor! Just becuase you have gone to school and passed a few test does not mean that you have a high EQ and have the right to treat your patients with disrespect!

Dr. Brubaker saved my life and I cannot thank him enough! My pre op meeting w him was scary as hell, but he was extremely caring and patient, despite having to point out the the good, the bad, and the ugly. As hard as it was to hear and absorb, I can only thank him for that. He did not beat around the bush, and again, very tough to digest, but I wanted the truth, not to be blindsided later. He availed himself if and when I had further questions. He explained things to me in detail and pointed out on a diagram and of how things would move along. I opted for surgery, again, a very scary thing, but he comforted me as best as someone can comfort another, when facing the diagnoses I had been given. Post surgery, he called me personally to deliver the GREAT news of my pathology report, again, explained it all in layman terms detail. I met w him 3 mos later, and again, very kind, caring, and really listened to me. I did not once feel rushed when I met w him. He is a smart, well educated, and progressive physician who came highly recommended by another physician. I am so glad all of this is behind me, at least in the short term, as follow ups will be necessary for some time. I've never seen anything quite like Dr. Brubaker in 71 years of close proximity to top notch physicians, world class "game changing" medical researchers and my own MD education, experiences around my father who was a beloved pediatrician, public health officer and founder of a large medical center.I suggested a watchful waiting approach my be the way to go with my brand new prostate related symptoms he became bizarrely aroused , angry, as though I had insulted him or taken something quite personal away from him. He "barked out" YOU WILL HAVE A BIOPSY.He expressed the arrogant superior condescending unprofessional conduct of the worst immature entitled white white male asshole I have ever seen. As though he was never in the proximity of a true professional or simply had no capacity to understand that much less to become it.Very very strange.
