List of Amanda F. Barnes's Reviews
Super disappointed and annoyed that after waiting 8 weeks for an appointment, I was canceled on last minute, then attempted to rebook for 8 more weeks out. I wasn't offered a referral to anyone else that might be available, was't asked about the needs for my visit or if I'm in any urgent need. I understand that medicine is not customer service, but I just was left feeling extremely unimportant and dismissed.
I am so happy I found Dr Amanda Barnes! I've always had such a hard time connecting with a OBGYN and from day one I left my appointment so informed. She listened to my concerns and didn't brush me off. She agreed with my conclusion of my symptoms and didn't make me feel dumb. I even had a question for her a couple of weeks after my appointment and I called the office and left I message thinking maybe she'd call me in a few days or I'd have to wait for my 6 weeks out appointment. Well she called me back the same day! I am so happy I finally know what's wrong and even though it's a frustrating diagnosis I'm happy to have doctor that really cares about her treatment for her patients.
Dr Amanda Barnes is amazing. She listens to you, and explains. She makes me feel so comfortable. So if your looking for a great Dr she's the one. And her staff is great.
She is the absolute best please consider seeing her if you are looking for an OBGYN. She is incredibly intelligent, kind, patient, attentive and on top of her game! I went to her at Huntington OBGYN for my first pregnancy and she guided me thru the whole process all the way to delivery and it all felt like a breeze. She is always on time during office visits and she takes her time with you. I know I had a million questions almost every visits and she so kindly answered all of them. I love Dr. Barnes.
Dr. Barnes is THE BEST. If we could give her more stars, we would. Choosing her to be my OBGYN was one of the best decisions I made throughout my pregnancy. From the very first appointment, it was clear she was extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough, and a wonderfully genuine person. The biggest thing my husband and I noticed off the bat was how she took the time to listen and provide creative and effective solutions to whatever particular symptom I was having. I felt empowered each trimester with the tools and education we were provided with during our appointments. We never felt rushed and always felt that we were in the best care possible. She gained our trust very quickly and being first-time parents, meant the world to us! Towards the end of my pregnancy, my blood pressure began to climb into the gestational hypertension range and it became clear that we would need to induce early. This was at the peak of the Omicron wave and despite the hospital being SUPER busy and understaffed, Dr. Barnes made sure we got in as quickly as possible. We created a plan together and felt like we were walking into my induction and delivery as a team. As fate would have it, I ended up developing pre-eclampsia. We felt so relieved that we had made the choice to deliver early. Her guidance made our situation a best-case scenario. In the hospital and during my postpartum recovery, she was consistently checking in, communicating with us, and providing me with the best possible solutions. She had our back every step of the way. My husband and I are SO grateful we found Dr. Barnes! We cannot rave about her enough and are pretty sure many of our friends will be heading her way in the coming years haha If you're looking for a doctor who is deeply passionate about her work and goes above and beyond for her patients, look no further. We cannot recommend her enough!
Dr. Barnes is an exemplary provider. She is compassionate, non-judgmental, thorough, and treats her patients as if they are partners in healthcare—which of course, they are. As a new patient, she gave me her full attention and devoted a substantial amount of time to getting to know me and understanding my medical history and needs. Dr. Barnes is creative (rather than prescriptive) in her solutions and recommendations, respectful, and incredibly likable. If you're hoping to find a doctor who cares about her work and her patients, you've found her!

Dr. Barnes is an exemplary provider. She is compassionate, non-judgmental, thorough, and treats her patients as if they are partners in healthcare -- which of course, they are. She is a new doctor to me so I have only visited her once for an annual exam, but she gave me her full attention for quite a while as she got to know me and discussed my medical history, concerns, and needs. I am so relieved to have found her and look forward to being in her care for years to come. Dr. Barnes is creative (rather than prescriptive) in her solutions and recommendations, respectful, incredibly likable, with the best bedside manner I have probably experienced. It's not always easy to feel comfortable at the OBGYN, but I instantly felt at ease with Dr. Barnes. If you're hoping to find a doctor who cares about her work and her patients, you've found her!
Dr Barnes is amazing. I came to her after having a not so great time at a fancy OBGYN's office in Beverly Hills, and the experience was night and day. I was very nervous throughout my pregnancy since I'd had a miscarriage a few months earlier, and Dr Barnes never wavered in her patience, kindness and skill. When I went into labor almost a month early, she was beyond calm and reassuring, and brought my daughter seamlessly into the world. Truly a gem of a doctor and human - can't recommend her highly enough.
After getting out of the ER for excruciating pelvic pain & a diagnosis of a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst, I was told to see an OB/GYN within 1-2 days to follow up on next steps. After explaining everything that happened and presenting all the imaging, Dr. Barnes told me "I don't know what is going on." She was completely dismissive of my symptoms and that I told her I cannot work or sit down without pain.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
