List of Brian Cox's Reviews
Dr Brian Cox is such a comforting plastic surgeon he goes out of his way to address your concerns very calmly and professionally. His secretary/nurse Lillian is an amazing assistant she goes out of her way also to make you very comfortable and feel at home.
Dr. Cox and his whole staff are amazing!!! I had my breast implants replaced and I cannot be more pleased with my results:).His staff was attentive and helpful. His team that was in the surgical center was also amazing from the nurses to the anesthesiologist and of course Dr. Cox!!! I would highly recommend him because he actually cares and takes his time to listen to what you want and makes sure you are taken care of for life!! I never had a doctor that followed up with me for life!!
Doctor Cox and his assistant, Carlitos, are simply the best! I’m in my mid-50s and I’ve never met a doctor, nor a staff member as friendly, attentive, nurturing, well-knowledged and as kind as them. The visits were for my 82-year-old mother, who needed surgery on her foot due to an injury. Watching these two gentlemen treat her like she was the most precious thing to them, warmed my heart to no end. My mother was scared going in and she was put to ease throughout the entire process because of their genuine level of care. After waking up from surgery, mom even thanked them. She said, “I need to cook something for them,” (being the Italian chef that she is ). This level of care goes far above and beyond what is seen in our world today, and it’s a pleasure to know people like Dr. Cox and Carlitos are part of the health care industry, spreading healing, compassion and reassurance to their patients.
I was traumatized by my experience here. I have been in pain for some time, and finally after jumping through all the hoops i was referred to Dr. Cox for a breast reduction and he came highly recommended by someone i trust. Finally i was going to get some relief...... NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!! The surgery went fine but after 3 months i still wear the same size bra. I am still in pain, and i am extremely depressed over the whole ordeal. Mind you i started off (and finished) as a size 36DDD Here is where the trauma comes into play: Carlitos (Dr. Cox P.A.) was the one who saw me for all my follow up visits. He told me they only took 100cc of solid tissue and 100 cc with Lipo. I come to find out that isn't even one bra size for me. After my third visit he told me they were as small as they were going to get. Which is coming true. My last visit i arrived very upset, and wanted to be heard by Carlitos. They were 1 1/2 hours late seeing me. Finally got in to see him and while trying to explain to him why i was upset he kept barking at me "it's ok just tell me" interrupting me and was sitting about 6 inches from my face. I had to tell him to wait because it takes me a minute for formulate a thought. THEN the AWFUL front office lady called him out to the hall not even a minute later (i honestly think he had her do that on purpose) because HE WENT while i was sitting there crying. He was gone for another 1/2 hour and i heard them all talking about Door Dash. When he came back in he said he called the Dr in because he could see how upset i was. So, cut to Dr. Cox coming into the office. Dr Cox tells me he took 300 grams of tissue and that i am C cup because the way you measure a bra size is (Around the breast - 4 inches) minus (around the rib cage). Which IS NOT how you measure for bra size. I have been a woman my entire adult life with large breasts. You DO NOT take 4 inches off. ok for the sake of argument lets just say he is right.... Why am i still fitting into my 36DDD? Why can't i fit into ANY 36D much less a 36C... HELLO!!!! He also said that he could only take so much tissue as there is a ribbon that runs down the breast and it needs a certain amount of breast tissue for the nipple to survive. I am a 36DDD just how much tissue does it need!!!!! My mother had reconstruction and had her normal breast reduced to the size of her modified one and she still have feeling in her nipple so no Dr. Cox they DID NOT graft the nipple back on like you said you were sure of. He did tell me they could take out more tissue and do some more lipo but that it would be extremely painful and my breast would be bigger than they are now for a while. UGH!!!The very last thing he said to me was "hey, at least the grooves in your shoulders are gone..... UM, BECAUSE CARLITOS TOLD ME NOT TO WEAR A BRA AT ALL FOR 2 MONTHS. Then Dr. Cox instructed me to wear one as often as possible because "it will help with the swelling" .... NOPE!!!! As mentioned they are the same size and the grooves in my shoulders are back along with shoulder pain, neck pain, and headaches.. Have i mentioned i am miserable? They also told me they would have Veronica (Dr.s assistant) call me and she never did. Here is my take on what happened: Because i used my insurance company to pay for it, and because i have an HMO Dr. Cox took the easiest and fastest route. All i got was a lift, not a reduction. Dr. Cox phoned it in on this procedure. I think he could have performed a reduction that i would have been happy with but more time on the table means less money for him for his time. Now i get to start the process over again because i am still in pain. I was so looking forward to being pain free and happy and i am nothing but miserable. Miserable from my pain and miserable that i had to endure the horrible treatment being told that my breasts are smaller. Ok so maybe they don't actually bulge out the top anymore, but i still fill a full 36DDD
Excellent surgeon, real human being, compassionate, skilled, calm and conservative. I wish some of his staff followed his lead on all that though, for they lack sensitivity and they could benefit from some training on that even though that's a trait one either has or will never exhibit. I would recommend Dr. Cox to anyone in need of excellent results!
This business is unethical. I received a surgery that I had refused. I have pain 24/7 and cannot even sleep let alone have full use of my hand. They the surgeon drop dead and rot in hell.
Can I have ten stars yelp?Got my explant with Dr. Cox and I am trilled with the whole experience.I cannot tell enough good things about Dr. Cox and his assitant Veronica. What I liked about my consultation was that he was normal and real. He was calm. He was not trying to sell himself. He also said to wait on the lift because a lot of patients dont need it. A surgeon who is not greedy? Really in California ? WoAH.He listened without interrupting. Veronica is kind and also a powerforce, treated me like I was family and my life was as important as hers. And I was a pain in her butt, meaning lots of texts and questions etc.My PCP approved my surgery eventhough there were high enzymes in my liver bloodwork, but Dr. Cox cancelled it just to be extra cautious. I was upset but I loved the fact that he cared, that was a loss for him too and more work to rescheduole. I also wanted someone who had experience in Breast Reconstructive Surgery in case something was needed when they opened me up. Thank God for that. I did a mamogram beforehand because you cannot do one for a year . During my explant, Dr. Cox found a mass on my right breast and biopsed it to make sure it was benign. And it was. As soon as I got in the Hospital rooms, a few nurses and even the anesteciologist got in my room and shared about how good of a surgeon he was. I never asked. They told me their stories and experiences and I felt overwealming peace, a knowing I was in the best hands I could be. He removed them emblock with just a capsulectomy. Yes. Apparently someone with his skills can do that. Previous surgeon had left the old capsules in when he exchanged them in 2003. He also fixed my scar tissue and made a smaller cleaner incision. He gave me his cell phone nmbr in case I needed anything. Wait, what?My breast look great, pain level about a 4.
Compassionate, skilled, talented, genuine, patient, gentle and personable come to mind when I think of Dr. Brian Cox. He gave me my life back after a procedure I had with him. I'm incredibly grateful for him. You're in good hands with him. He's double board certified in general surgery and plastic surgery, has many years of experience, and Harvard trained. His surgical coordinator, Veronica is reliable and extremely helpful. She answered all my questions through text messages. She worked diligently to speed up the surgical process and insurance. They're a great team! I totally trust them! Thank you so much!
Excellent Dr. made me feel comfortable exposing my “flaws”. Superior work, will forever be grateful!
Thank you so much to all your help especially Veronica and all your staff nurses from the front desk to the back operation room I am so happy and I couldn't pick a better surgeon Dr. Cox not only the surgery but how efficient your staff is to get things done and Veronica never failed to return a phone call or to be there for me when I was scared again I thank the whole staff would not go anywhere else thank you Dr Cox regards Yolanda de Garcia

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
