Chap Care has consistently provided excellent service, from front desk staff to doctors and clinicians.

I am the first person to throw up a complaint. I have three apology letters from major hospitals who treated my husband for complications from alcoholic cirrhosis ESLD. He was called a dumb ass by an ED triage nurse, we were treated as drug seekers for pain he was experiencing from systemic bleeding from liver failure. I have had to be my husbands advocate and fight for respect from the very profession I work for.Trudy was a blessing I never saw coming. When Trudy became my husbands primary caregivers CHAP,  I felt a sense of relief.... she was the NP who finally listened and collaborated with me... she filtered out my emotional hysteria as a wife and my clinical expertise as a badass RN. She respected my clinical expertise but also had the strength to help me just be a wife and for the first time I felt that she had my husbands back, which gave me the confidence to take a hot min to just be a wife,  and not his nurse and advocate. She responded to my plea for help when I saw "the signs" of imminent demise. She collaborated with me which is not what I had experienced with previous MD's or DO's at CHAP care. The healthcare profession is challenging at best. I believe in my heart...Trudy and her willingness to work with an overthinking nurse wife and husband who had been through the health care clusterfuck system (sorry... I call it was it is) of flaming hoops of fire to get simple pain management.... was our unrecognized  blessing. Despite his inevitable demise from alcoholic cirrhosis.... she gave us the ability  to have a beautiful and dignified ending by expeditiously getting hospice on board. Trudy.... I hope you are recognized for your above and beyond efforts. Thank you for being his advocate  and for  hearing me and collaborating with me to get him to a beautiful and dignified passing.

Lake Avenue CHAPCARE is the best... I've been going to a few different locations of ChapCare and Urgent Care since 2010.  Since we've now settled in Altadena I have attended both locations on Lake Avenue and I'm so glad they moved to 1595 N. Lake... the facility is so much bigger, cleaner and easy access.  The doctors are friendly, the staff are friendly, kind and understanding... everybody there is willing to help and they listen to any question I have.  They are very patient.  Scheduling and getting referrals is a breeze.   Thank you ChapCare - Lake Avenue.

They will take the full 72 hours to provide Covid test results.

One of the few places on the LA county website that offers Covid testing on Sundays. Took just a few minutes on their website to schedule. Went in this morning with just a 5 minute wait. Chatted with the nice security guard as I waited outside, whom had oldies music playing from a little speaker. Went inside and everyone was super friendly and relaxed. The nurse offered to administer the test for me or I could swab it myself. She confirmed I was doing it right and was in and out in less than 10 mins. Extremely easy, pleasant and painless.

The Dr I see in person or a phone appt.  Dr. Youn is very caring, helpful to have you understand what's going on with you as a patient.  I hope he never leaves ChapCare on Lake Ave. as some other drs. left or their time was up, not sure.  It would be great if  the Drs from ChapCsre was on staff at Huntington Hospital.  Glendale Adventist and Glendale Memorial.

This place was fantastic with service. I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Gilmer Youn!!! Never in a rush. Actually  sits down and listens. You get his full undivided attention.  He recommends  treatments that are beneficial  to your needs. Looks to  the inside first. What can you do to alleviate the present situation  b4 we suggest  mediation.  If  you have that option of course. Very friendly, and seems to genuinely  care. Thank you!!!
