David A. Girard's Online Review Report Card

I'm forever grateful for my neurologist. For putting me under his care and treatment.

I have been a patient with David A. Girard, MD for almost six months now. I am so impressed with how efficient his office is since it's so small! I was referred to him by a local radiologist group who I used to work for. I had been suffering from migraines since last fall and by January 2022 I knew I had to do something about it. After getting this referral, I was hopeful Dr. Girard would work with me to find some relief from this debilitating disease. Sure enough, Dr. Girard just did that; he was straight-to-the-point yet thoughtful and gentle at the same time. After a thorough assessment, he put me on Aimovig which I take once a month, I have been taking since March and have notice a significant improvement of my symptoms. I am following-up with him next month to discuss my progress. Going back to his office staff, they are so nice and work like clock work to help the overall running of the practice. I will note they do have only one phone line which can get busy, but if you get that and wait 5 mins and call back they will pick up. I will note Dr. Girard's practice does not offer a patients portal but his office staff is good about relaying messages to him. I had to ask them if he could fill out a form for my college that would allow him to get support services as well as an excusal note due to my migraines and they were on top of it. Dr. Girard even called me to discuss with me how to go about getting me the right support I need for my college educate, I appreciate that so much as it shows how invested he is in his patients. Please note, the wait for becoming a new patient with him can be long, but he is worth the wait.

I had a great experience with Dr. Girard. He's a straightforward, knowledgeable and treated my ongoing neurological problem with minimal medication.

Dr. David is an exceptional neurologist. He’s also very easy on the eyes. Highly recommend!

The worst doctor and waste of time. He doesn’t have your best interest and wants to keep you on pills instead of helping you out with your condition. Save your self a trip DONT GO TO HIM!!!

I have been dealing with neurological issues for the majority of my adult life. I've seen my share of neurologists- some good, some bad. Dr. David Girard is the best neurologist I've had. He spent the time I needed to discuss my concerns and figure out a good plan to move forward with. I don't think there are any "good" neurological issues, but his help has allowed me to live a normal life when I was not able to before. I am very thankful to have found him and to continue to be treated by him.

Would never recommend David Girard. Saw him for migraine headaches. He prescribed amitriptyline without telling me that it was an anti-depression drug. I was shocked that he did not disclose this since I prefer to make informed decisions. The drug has totally messed up my sleeping patterns. It keeps me awake until 2-5 a.m. Then I don’t wake up until noon or after. Upon research, I found that it was number 1 on drugs for seniors to avoid. The worst part is that Girard will not speak directly to me unless I make an appointment to see him. His assistant relays his message. I am staying home due to COVID-19 and am appalled that he would insist on an office visit. His conduct is unacceptable.

Doctor Girard was not a good listener at all. Granted, I had bad brain fog and was not a good communicator, but for example, I told him I felt horrible on a medication, but he wanted me to keep taking it, and upon reading his report, he says I said it didn't affect me adversely. He ordered a brain MRI without contrast at my appointment with him to discuss my results of my brain MRI without contrast. He didn't want me to do another one, just forgot what I was there for, I guess? Not sure who or what exactly is to blame, but during the time I was under his care, I went from being able to drive to work and live pretty normally with fibromyalgia to not being able to walk or hardly move. Instead of trying to find my problem, he chalked it up to depression, which I do not have. I found another neurologist and have been diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy, along with another doctor who found histamine intolerance and oxalate toxicity, and helped me reverse my mitochondrial dysfunction downward spiral. Dr Girard was not invested in my health at all. I do not recommend this guy for anything other than very basic, cut and dried problems.

He's the best neurologist I've ever had . I'd be very upset without him as my Dr he helps me n my Ms so much

I have been calling for 3 days for a referral for epidural. They will not give me one without seeing me. Oh he is booked till next week. Frustrating called 6 times no one is calling back
