Dr. Han Lee's Online Review Report Card

Tried to call for an appointment, but the receptionist just hung up on me while I was talking. I couldn't hear her clearly, so I said " hello? ", then she just hung up. It happened twice. I don't think they want a new patient.

I came in because of an epidermoid cyst. The appointment seemed rushed and I saw Dr. Lee for probably less than 10 minutes. She seemed to be in a hurry and a bit cold. After injecting me with cortisone and prescribing antibiotics, she quickly referred me to a general surgeon. She asked about facial acne during my visit for some reason and tried to get me to purchase medication which I declined at checkout because that's not what I came in for. I ended up getting a second opinion with another medical team in Santa Monica that was more attentive and that administered 3 doses of cortisone and antibiotics over a few months and successfully treated my cyst without having to do any surgery. I believe she's a competent doctor but her bedside manner is really lacking. Patients need to feel listened to and cared about during visits and I just didn't get that from her.

Very professional. Efficient and skillful two minor surgeries with Dr Lee. Highly recommend.

I saw Dr. Han Lee today and was appalled at her bedside manner. (Her front office staff was for the most part, fine.) I felt like I was intruding on Dr. Lee's time, and my whole visit probably lasted 5-7 minutes. She entered the room and her greeting was a cold "How can I help you?". Um, what. She was abrupt, cold, borderline rude, and did not take the time to explain anything to me, including a biopsy she recommended after implying that my issue was not a big deal. She left the door open while talking to me, until I asked if she could close it -- what happened to patient privacy?? After the biopsy, she was ready to send me on my way -- I had to ask her how I should care for the incision. My whole visit with her was incredibly disappointing. Would not recommend her AT ALL. I'm sure she is a competent doctor, but dealing with her was so unpleasant. And when people have medical issues, you want a doctor who takes the time to answer questions, explain things, and generally be a polite and pleasant person. This is NOT Dr. Han Lee.

I was referred to Dr. Lee by my dermatologist after it was discovered that I had some suspicious skin cells just above my left ankle. After multiple biopsies a skin graft was ultimately required. Throughout the process Dr. Lee was always available, whether it was an office visit, discussion on the telephone, texting or virtual meeting. Dr. Lee always took time to answer any questions that I had and was committed to providing me with the best possible outcome. She was always friendly, but made it known that the success of the operation was a collaborative process that required that I follow her instructions. Dr. Lee's assistant, Vi, was also a pleasure to work with during my experience. She was attentive in applying dressings, making appointments, calling in prescriptions and promptly returning my telephone calls.

Dr. Lee did a zoom consultation and got rid of the rash on my face and neck that was bothering all summer long. She's knowledgeable and experienced and I wouldn't go to any other Dermatologist.

I was referred to Dr. Han Lee by my regular dermatologist. It was a very unpleasant experience. She was late to the first consultation, when I asked if this was the best treatment she rattled off other options with no insight or perspective, I had to go back to my regular doctor to sort out that the options she presented were not appropriate for me. She would not discuss how to close my wound but again referred me to someone else for a conversation. I am not a doctor and found it difficult to determine the best plan to treat my cancer. She was unable to close my wound, and left it open for 24 hours while I tried to confirm that the doc she recommended would complete the surgery for me. When I asked if I needed antibiotics she was irritated, and was also irritated that i wanted a pain management plan. If you have to proceed with Moh's I would recommend to find someone else. Her arrogance and ego made me feel fearful that I was in poor hands. I think her technique might be fine, but not worth a lacking comprehensive care plan or the belittling attitude. There are better skin docs in LA. And no one should be treated like this.

I did not experience the rudeness of the front office staff or of Dr. Lee that others did. She's not exceedingly friendly but cordial. Over arching impression - if you want a Botox or filler injection, or some laser skin treatment, this is the place. If you want a dermatologist to treat a skin disease, not so much. They do seem to be about recommending expensive skin treatments.
