Federico Velez's Online Review Report Card

I wish I could give one million stars in this review, Dr. Velez is best in the world. I live in Phoenix AZ, a kindhearted doctor here recommended the great Dr. Velez as someone who may be able to help rescue me from the results of failed eye surgery here in Phoenix which resulted in left eye being "stuck" in upper corner. The surgery by Dr. Velez was wonderfully successful. There are no words for my gratitude to Dr. Velez and to the Living God. I drive 6 hours for my eye doctor appointments and count it a blessing to do so.

I was hit from behind while riding my bike in 2016 by a distracted 21 year old driver. I ended up with too many fractures to mention. I had three traumatic brain injuries which resulted in a 4th cranial nerve palsy which caused a very complicated case of diplopia (double vision). I suffered with this double vision for 14 months. After many interviews with several ophthalmologists I was luckily referred to Dr. Velez. I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and confidence. His diagnosis was confirmed with an MRI of my brain/eyes. I felt 100% confidence in my choice of surgeons. I scheduled surgery with Dr. Velez. After a 1 1/2 hour surgery I opened my eyes to seeing one Dr. He advised it would take about a week to have far away objects completely fuse into one object. He was completely honest with me from day one. I have had all my follow ups with Dr Velez and they have all been excellent. I can't say enough about how his expertise gave me back my full active lifestyle.

This man is amazing. My daughter was born with a very complex eye condition to which every other doctor said nothing could be done. I was absolutely heartbroken. We started seeing Dr. Velez when she was about 6 months old and he has always been wonderful with her. He has performed 2 surgeries and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. If your child is having eye issues, PLEASE give him a chance to help you.

By far the best Doctor. Caring , Diagnosis right on point. I would recommend him over and over again.

Dr. Velez has the best bedside manner, he is so courteous and respectful, and he takes his time. My daughter has been his patient for 6 years now and we always leave UCLA stating how nice Dr. Velez is. We are lucky to have such an amazing physician.

Lo que mas llamo la atención de esta visita fue el hecho de que el Dr. Velez nos diera las gracias por haber llevado a nuestro hijo con el. Es un acto de humildad que solo los mas sabios lo tienen. Me pareció acertado en su diagnostico. Es el tercer doctor que ve a nuestro hijo y nos dio un diagnostico distinto pero muy convincente. Tuvimos que esperar casi tres meses para esta consulta, pero la espera valió la pena. Siento plenamente que nuestro hijo esta en las mejores manos.

After having three eye surgeries here in Ventura, with no results. I called UCLA, they made the appointment for me with Dr. Valez. After my daughters first surgery with him the results were amazing. I'm very pleased with him, Dr. Valez is also very sensitive, and patient with children. My daughter had Strabismus (crossed eyes). Dr. Valez is worth the drive, and any wait time you experience.
