Gregory D Northrop's Online Review Report Card

I have been going to Dr. Northrop for about 20 years. I have had mostly knee problems, torn ACL and several ankle sprains do to sports injuries. Recently I had a C6/7 herniation and he saw me with 1 day notice and had x-rays and an MRI done the same day. His attention to detail is bar none. He is a great doctor and even if I get a second opinion I always ultimately trust his analysis.

Had him do a total rt knee replacement in April 2018. It's already Jan 2019 and it still hurts badly and gets stiff. Still can't walk even a mile. Problem with him is he's not honest in telling me how long it takes to get recovery. Months? Years? First he said 3 months. Then 6. Then 10. Then what? Did he do it too quickly and made a mistake or what? I'm losing confidence the longer it takes. He hasn't even offered or scheduled a one year follow up. For some reason, Medicare prohibited him from getting paid for further xrays. Advise me doctor.

I did shoulder surgery with Dr. Gregory Northrop in early 2015. I regret that I did. I was told that it will address the pain due to the tear in my rotator cuff. I should have contemplated more before doing such an intrusive operation. I would have given less less than zero star if I could. I still have pain on a daily basis although I followed all the instruction he gave me. I went back to Dr. Northrop for follow-ups, but I don't think he had any solution for the ongoing pain. He asked me if the pain is "livable". Of course it is not! Some told me to sue, but I refrained from doing so.I hope he enjoyed most likely the many thousands of dollars. Please be careful with your shoulder and think twice before rushing into allowing anyone do a surgery on you.

Dr. Northrop listens, explains, and shows he genuinely cares. He does not push surgery, although at a certain point he might highly recommend it. I feel confident in his care.

He is an excellent doctor. I thank you for having him as my orthopedic specialist. All of the staff are courteous and helpful.

Diagnosed it on day one from the emergency room - surgery on day three– probably saved my arm. He's the best!!!

She's very rude and has an arrogant attitude to bed side manners. It's not the patients fault that she's having a bad day. Makes Dr. Northrop look very bad. With dealing with her I have never had a positive experience.ive tried to reach her various time and it's been difficult and annoying. She does have an attitude like if she's superior to others in the office. The office manager should really have a talk with her!

Very easy to get apptment courtious front desk. Wonderful clean office/reception area. When i first got there i was told to sign in as a new patient i thought i would have paperwork logically i waited. Got told to have a seat ok.. I made my way to a seat i hadnt even placed my bottom on the seat when they calld me up. Kind of weird and tiring. Filled my paper work out and waited about 45 mins. Was told i needed surgery. 1st nurse has a very stank attitude very rude and arrogant. I tried to ask questions and she gave me an attitude and made me feel like i was "bugging her" i called over 10 times before i got a nasty attitude call back. Giving me no options. As i sat and observe the rest of the office i saw how rude and mean she was to frnt desk ladies i guess she feels super superior to the rest of the office. She needs to take customer service courses and maybe anger management because this makes the rest of the office look HORRILE.... when i requested my medical records i was greeted by a delightfull young lady had a wonderful smile on her face and made me feel very comfortable. She obtained my records with in minutes and very accurate i was completely satified! Since i was told that the main medical records attendant was out inthought it was going to be impossible but she made it super easy and super efficiant After surgery wendy? Never returnd my calls and alwaysngot a nasty attitude! This needs to be fixed fast. I decided not to follow upnagain post operly because of wendy because i was good customer service and manners and she clearly dont have either. Other surgeons super helpfull and attentive. Maybe i was mistaken when choosing "this doctor"
